They work pretty good, not as good as the correct can but 90%as good
you can even swap the end cap on a few models to get closer to the correct size.

Of course it works and it was the norm up until the last year or two when companies started making really niche caliber sized cans.

Imo if on a budget no reason not to get a 762 can. The sound difference is absolutely minimal and you will have something much more versatile.

I distinctly remember seeing a video of the tranny shooter from Canada become one of the most upvoted posts on the sub (before the shooting ofc). It was the one where he was shooting a desert eagle with the "AK world tour" black sweatshirt on; while the video is still out there the original post is probably long gone. It was still freaky as fuck seeing that, thinking nothing of it, then hearing of the school shooting and realizing it was that person. Now unrelated, but there's at least one troon (probably multiple) making unholy parts kit creations on r/gunnitrust (which is kinda fucked up cuz beside the minor infestation that sub is great). And by unholy, I mean really unholy mashed together shit, worse than the shovel receiver AK. I'll make the thread sometime soon.

What are some of these newer flow through so I know what to look for? Do they do a 50/50 split between back pressure and sound/flash or do they still kill the back pressure while keeping sound and flash low?

They'll be marketed as "reduced back pressure" or "flow through" suppressors. They do noticeably reduce gas blowback at the expense of noise reduction. Usually it's a few decibel depending on design for much less gas, very worthy trade off for semi auto firearms. Zero use on a bolt gun.

More or less if it's a newer suppressor and it's 3d printed it's a flow through suppressor. The bt I mentioned is a flow through, as well as being a hybrid titanium/inconel design so it's light weight yet extremely rugged if you ever feel the need to dump 5-6 mags of 7.62 through it in a few minutes. You really cant beat that for the price.

The all titanium ones can be bad about flash suppression due to the nature of titanium but the ones with inconel blast baffles are supposed to be much better at that. Sage dynamics did a video on the bt print x hybrid that shows the difference.

I don't know if there's a universal term for these, but there's a general tendancy towards 3-d printed cans with internal geometry allowing both low back pressure and decent performance. Pewscience calls these "hybrid cans". CAT calls their version of this "surge bypass", but the different manufacturers all seem to have their own name for it. The various CAT cans, the SAW Tisha, the PTR vent, and so on are examples. Each is going to be a bit different, but generally they have low back pressure with much better performance than older flow through cans had. I'd look into the cans individually, and I don't know if any of them dissipate heat well, but generally they seem like an improvement (often at twice the cost, unfortunately).

If you go this route be very careful about the right end cap with the right rifle. There are 2 different locals I've run into who have shot off their end cap because they didn't change the cap when they changed the rifle.

In 2026 is you're shooting something semi or full auto and not running a flow through can.... Bruh

I'd honestly even have one on a bolt action as it slightly lessens the cancer gasses (mmmm lead) coming out of the chamber when you cycle the action vs a closed can.

Speaking of cans, that one looks great for my RPR in 6.5mm CM....

I'm of the opinion that every bad shooting habit of a troon should be reinforced. On the off chance he's not shooting up a school or church, or self addressing, he'll be "defending " himself from "nazis".
I want him pulling back on the mag, then looking down the barrel while clearing subsequent jam.

they really should have just went with .270 WSSM. it's short action and has the same performance as the 6.8 (same caliber). just throw the NGSW bullet in there and go. the development is done.
