He is indonesian but he seemed mildly concerned with his name being connected to this stuff so I assume Luis Herz has some weird Indonesian pornography bookmarked.

Since his last name is Herz, I have a suspicion that one of his parents is not Indonesian. And he's most likely never live in Indonesia, which explain as well some of his interest as very American, although he probably still has family in the country

Firmansa/Firmansyah is an Islamic names which in English means "prophet" or "bringer of wisdom" but I'm sure his parents is not really putting much of a thought behind his name and just want to give him a popular Indonesian name because of his mother Indonesian heritage.

His mother probably have lived through the 80's and 90's in Indonesia. The 80's in Indonesia is similar to the 80's you see in America or Japan, which create more open minded and liberal generation, which explain why his parents doesn't give him a proper Islam knowledge and rules

Papuans are Melanesians, hence the dark skin, and the government treat them like second class citizen because of their darker skin color. And because of the gov's propaganda against the Papuan separatism, the hardline nationalist become quite racist towards them as well

Another thing to note is that a lot of Indonesian urbanites, especially the rich ones, love edgy jokes because they think they're cool.
