There aren't many good things you can say about Jace, but atleast he isn't a nazi.

It's not that easy. Jace only pursues the conspiracy theories he likes or already believes. I've seen him shut things down I totally expected him to fall for, and I've seen him fall for things I thought were too ridiculous for even Jace. It's totally unpredictable, and I think it has more to do with how much he trusts the person coming up with the conspiracy than the actual content of the conspiracy itself. That and people who Jace trusts are more likely to know what will work and what will fail.

There's also the fact the most of what Jace pursues is entirely of his own volition. MISIS and Tupacalypse weren't created by trolls unless you consider Jace to be his own troll.
