Eh, plenty of people think you can unlock some kind of hidden potential using drugs. Why just 40 years ago if you said "acid" instead of "ADHD medicine" there'd be all sorts of people who actually took your crackpot vision more seriously.

It's probably for the better that his financial situation is somewhat dire. (From the van/weed thread, yeah I know it's not good but still.) I could otherwise foresee him deciding to buy a passport and plane ticket for himself and then proceed to do what Robert refused to let him last time he attempted.

Plans for Deagle Nation to mount an invasion of Germany aside, I've heard that Amsterdam is looking at closing down weed tourism. I don't know if this information is credible, though. (better not tell Jace either way)

Personally, I believe moving out has done as much for his sanity as it has his hygiene. Of course, his dire financial situation and, more specifically, his inability to afford weed at this time may make him unable to cope with things as well as he normally can (which isn't much to begin with), and probably blurs the line of real and not-real even more so than usual.

All right, so there's a few different sources I've heard it from now. I don't think it's a good idea, income wise. After all, the tourist industry there is somewhat dependent on this.

Apart from that though, I know that in Morocco at least, which is a more liberal Muslim country, hashish production is a substantial industry (yet illegal in that country). Most of that country's cannabis products are smuggled into Europe anyway, I believe. Including the Netherlands, I'm sure.

It would be rather ironic if a known Muslim hater were to start sourcing it there. But probably won't happen, in my country, a substantial portion of the weed industry is controlled by Mexican cartels anyway.

I doubt he would care in the end though. Gotta have dat ganja

Meh I don't really blame the Dutch for that. If you have actually seen some of the tourists they get who come just for weed or hookers then you'd understand why they aren't too keen on getting more of those people.

Well bear in mind that marijuana grows pretty much everywhere. But yeah smuggling drugs into Europe makes sense since Europeans are much more willing to drop big money on drugs. Its sort of like how Nigeria became a transit hub for Asian heroin and American cocaine entering into Europe and South Africa. There's just more money in it.

I suppose the Harolds and Kumars of the world just aren't worth the income sometimes. American tourists, which I'm assuming many of these guys are, also seem to think they run the world. I was getting that vibe from Eli as well during Operation Tupacalypse.

As far as cannabis goes, there's not really anything else that will grow in the poor soil in some countries. I watched a documentary about hashish smuggling, and it's not as profitable as one may think. It's interesting stuff, but a tad off the mark for this thread.
