GTA is a relic of the 2000s that only retards still follow.
The older games are still great. Especially the PS2 titles. The focus is on the gameplay and not Rockstar's retarded on rails way of playing everything now. Where you have no control over anything and are basically just participating in a cutscene. I couldn't believe how little variation there was in the GTA5 story mode as you have to follow the exact path for nearly every mission. You have to play Rockstar's way instead of having free abilities to tackle various missions.

GTA6 is probably going to have the same mission formula. Start mission. Drive to meeting point. Follow the exact line that the developers want. If you deviate from the path by a few steps you get "MISSION FAILED" and a black screen and must restart.

I say storefronts, I mean like having the ability to customize cars and the two protagonists out the gate.

In that, they've discovered that they could do the same for single player customization behind a paywall that is likely already in the game itself. I'm not speaking online microtransactions, I'm speaking for single player.
They already locked store fronts behind the ultimate edition Late and Retarded I am.

That said this is likely a way for them to sell GTA online shit to singleplayer only people. like the opressor, musket, golden gun etc and that were only online.

What's most interesting is that this Ultimate Edition does not detail anything about an online mode. Somebody speculated that their next online would not only release a month or so after the single player, but may be its own entity itself to sell to players. Maybe the contents of the Ultimate Edition will change over time, but for now, that's what there.

Right, but I'm saying that if it were on PC it would take hours before someone cracked it so you could effectively enter Costco without a membership, which is a lot less likely when everyone is on console.

The wording of this isn't saying that certain customization options would be included in the Ultimate Edition. It's saying that these three shops TO participate in that level of customization are only accessible if you have the Ultimate Edition.

Am I speaking another language? Am I not explaining why this is a bad idea or what they're trying to do? No, seriously, I do not know how more clearer I can be about this.
I agree. I dont think they would just have certain locations of stores paywalled instead of all of them. If they did, they would sell no copies at all of ultimate edition. This is them saying “fine we wont do $100 base price but youre getting less gameplay because of it”.

can you explain how you're SURE that these customization options are INTEGRAL to the game?
Idk man if im playing the $80 third person criminal simulator and it told me i didnt have permission to customize my character or my car i’d be pretty pissed.
And if there’s some nuance to it and there’s more stores besides these that offer the same or different customization that theyre not telling us about, that is not my fucking problem! As the customer i should not have to trust that this corporation that kind of hates its customers is going to do right by them. They need to come out and clarify because as of now all we know is that no matter how many stores there are, all of the ones that were revealed are paywalled as of now.

I was just thinking the same thing. Take Two has been very selective with their wording lately. Okay, it will be a physical release BUT we did not say there'd be physical media included.

GTA VI will be a single player experience, BUT we may just release the online portion as a separate title like we have for GTA Online and Red Dead Online. They may just name the online portion, I don't know, GTA Vice Online or something.

They KNOW they could get away with it because they established a lot of goodwill from GTA Online and their legacy of past titles and series. People want to play GTA VI, they'll find a way.

I think it's just shitty wording.

I don't think that car customization as a whole is locked behind the 20 extra dollars. I think just those specific shops, as well as the tattoo shops, etc are locked behind the 20 extra dollars.

GTA V's collector's edition on PS3 and 360 had exclusive clothing options, weapons and cars that people who got the regular edition couldn't get. RDR2 had this with its editions as well. Not defending it, merely stating how older games made by these people operated.

Bad wording from some stupid intern most likely.

All the people praying on GTA 6's downfall are coping hard. You're actively denying reality if you think this game isn't gonna be one of the most successful games ever. It's probably gonna be the most successful game of the decade.

6 will be the last game i ever play on a console so fuck it im goin balls out. i wonder if the ULTIMATE edition will have different art work
What I like about you is that you're a man of conviction, steadfast in his beliefs and not at all a brown performative faggot who constantly vomits cretinous posts.

That chink is totally going to pull out a Vavra. I wonder what subversive thing he is going to put on gooner slop 2
You people are legit mongoloids and the reason why subhumans like smash jt exists. Go back to play balldo gate 3 and enjoy all the homos and dykes in that game because of OPTIONS
Snoy ps5 exclusives output is a fucking disgrace lmao. Keep that shit for yourself and dont pozz gaming more you faggots
1000 USS DOLLARDs
Enyoy playing the latest shit and the console shitting itself to reach 1080p 60fps with the piss filter enabled!
R* can go fuck themselves if they think im going to pay AAAAAA prices for a digital only release

70% of V's map was completely useless.

Twenty years out from San Andreas and it's STILL the best map they've done. It had so much personality and everywhere felt fun to scout out.

With online they can do whatever the fuck they want i aint playing that shit

I still find it funny all these years later that you lost money in gta v for blowing up vehicles and then they added a vehicle with one-way shields on the windows that required you to blow it up and took $7k from you every time.
And then they did it again with the oppressor mkII. Not to say GTAOnline wasnt fun ever but imagine how fun it wouldve been without the kuruma and the oppressor.

I cant wait to see what they do with this one.

The nigger cattle have all be herded and it’s time to send them off to the slaughter… that’s probably what rockstar is thinking.

The main way this makes profit IMO is cutting out the entire logistics chain of producing disks, I cannot foresee this decision really increasing people coming to the game but how much they can get out of people. Most people I know think the decision is insane so maybe the cattle of today might have been pushed too far with this.

Take Two are smart, cunning bastards. They know people want GTA VI. So, they want to be the ones to sell it on their terms. Also, since it's digital, I assume that aside from whatever fee Sony/MS would apply for their storefront, they practically get all the money. I'm sure Sony is fronting some money to Rockstar to advertise that GTA VI is best played on a PS5 Pro.

This makes me believe when it's time for the PC port the RGL version will release before the Steam/EGS version so they get that sweet 100% .
