I have to disagree because Rockstar relies on chinky money grind mechanics to convince people to buy shark cards for a virtual lamborghini instead of spending 70 hours grinding out missions for it and console is the only platform where they can reasonably control how many people can just mod money into the game. They even tried to restrict PC mods in single player GTA V at some point iirc.Consoles themselves aren't to blame for this. It's Rockstar's business proposition. Nothing is stopping them from creating a PC port 1:1 with a console release; they're deliberately holding back a PC port to double dip potential purchases.
When they eventually add online I guarantee the servers will be split between console and PC as well for this exact reason. GTA V is old enough that I played both on console and later PC, and I never encountered a money drop on console.
GTA 6 will be the first Costco-type videogameit's four storefronts designed for customization that are locked behind a paywall
