Republicans have absolutely nothing to run on. Nothing.
They got one fucking card left in the deck, it's hey, maybe ease up on these broke Gen Z'ers so they can actually afford to have a kid but nah, they are gonna do what every other "first"-world country does: open the floodgates to foreign workers and/or hope automation makes up for the decline.

Passing the SAVE act would be great imo. More libs have their passport and documentation that would be required to vote than a majority of conservatives. But dont let any poor white nationalist know that.
It could use more explicit due process for people who are nominated for removal from the voting rolls, but other than that it's a good bill. We can't run our elections like it's the 18th century anymore, half the country thinks they're rigged (then the presidency switches parties and the other half thinks they're rigged). This has been the case since at least the Diebold freak-outs the second time George W. Bush was elected. It's untenable.

The act doesn't require a passport to vote, though. That was a commie psyop.

It would make it harder for married women to vote.

Why do we need the save act? There is no evidence of widespread voting fraud, despite all of the fat pedophile's posturing. His own lawyers even admitted it under oath. Since you're a regular in this thread, I'd think you'd be smarter than to believe the words of a pedophile grifter, but apparently not

Republicans have absolutely nothing to run on. Nothing. Republicans like Mini Mike Johnson love nothing more than to make the election all about the Demonkkkraps. They tried making Gavin Newsom the face of the party and Newsom realized that, taking a big step back. Mamdani now gives them the angle that they need. Sure there’s nothing Trump has done to make things better for Americans, quite the opposite, but now there’s this scary brown man with a funny name who doesn’t like Israel! The Gay Old Pedophiles love nothing more than a boogeyman.
Somebody should tell the right that Zorhan can’t run because he was born in Uganda.

But if the issue is what Zorhan represents, I think it should be noted that 1. He barely won an election while going against someone so unlikable they’d lose to a rock if they weren’t primaried by a hot dog stand, and 2. I think the real power in cities is rooted in who’s on the city council, but that could depend on the city.

Either way, I feel like right now, Zorhan and New York may still be in the honeymoon phase, so MAGA is stuck using the ol reliables from /pol/ and Gab. Thanks, Knicks.

Trump could learn a lot from Mamdani. While Mamdani leans hard into affordability and engages in transparent communication with his voters, Trump claims that the affordability crisis is a "hoax" and communicates via schizoposting

He'd rather eat glass than do a single nice thing for the people who voted for him. Reciprocity is gay to him. Elon, same mentality, pretty much. They’ve never made a woman come in their lives and they’re proud of it.

That's why MAGA has to settle for ethnic cleansing in *checks notes* Lebanon, since they've been trained not to expect the tiniest anything.

SAVE Act or no SAVE Act, it's not going to stop Trump from dispatching ICE to round up the brown people, without even asking for ID. Trump will go to any and all lenghts to interfere with the midterms.

I posted earlier a litany of tactics the administratin may take, but the strongest theory I have right now is that if the Dems succeed, Vance and MAGA Mike will refuse to swear them in until votes are recounted, recounted, and recounted again until they get the result they're after, just like Trump tried unsuccessfully to do in 2020. The difference now is that he's in charge. Just recently he asked the DOJ to investigate the the California gubenatorial primary purely out of a fear that his guy wouldn't win the Republican runoff based on early returns. Spoiler: He did win.

she was being run by her cult. Everyone's known about the cult for years, but I don't think we really knew how much control they had over her. She wasn't just getting moral guidance from them; they were telling her what to do, giving her lines to say, giving her statements to post on Twitter, and telling her what legislation to introduce.
The US government has become like Japan and South Korea. Cults make the laws.

Make heaven crowded
That sounds like the tagline to a Heaven's Gate-style suicide cult.

Some people think that Trump's been running a military purge, naturally the explanation speedruns a reductio ad Hitlerum:

I've been hearing this phrase get tossed around, "Too big to rig", mostly in reference to the recent victory by Peter Magyar in Hungary, and hopes for such a victory in the US. Call me :optimistic: :optimistic: :optimistic:, but I honestly believe wholeheartedly that even in the most partisan districts, vote counters and minor magistrates are too honest to break the law on a large scale. I mean, as stated by the Hollywood Hulkster earlier, there is genuinely almost negligible amounts of voter fraud in this country, regardless of political party in charge.

I'm not worried that they shall rig a large number of these midterm elections, or that they'll pass a voter ID act; dismissing all of the damage that they will do and have already done to our republic, I'm personally anxious about a few things regarding the midterms and 2028 Presidential election. Namely, partisan gerrymandering, voter roll purges and attempts at voter disenfranchisement, the many psychological voting disincentives employed at polling locations, localized corruption in red states, and yes, the potential that they could fathomably attempt a strike on our legal political regime come 2028. They're definitely amassing power into a paramilitary arm of the Executive Branch, who are overwhelmingly loyal to Trump, and has been receiving only more and more copious amounts of funding, coupled with the fact that Jan 6 happened, and they pardoned all parties responsible in the storming of Capitol Hill, it's completely plausible that they do a coup d'etat.

If such a thing happens, I'd say, remember that the only thing enabling them is our compliance, if any of you by chance occupy any sort of meaningful position of power, do not comply with illegal orders given to you. As a citizen, do not participate in any illegal actions, do not support and do not comply with any illegal regime. Though I think the ideal citizen protests against this sort of behavior, it is true that the world we live in disincentivizes and strips away people's ability to do such things, but refusal to comply is not the same as marching in the streets, anything is better than nothing. Not everyone is able to be a heroic patriot fighting for the nation, but everyone can control their own actions and who they support.

Though, that's all a bit of faff, it seems the Conservative establishment knows the clock is ticking on this MAGA shit. Tucker and MTG abandoning the GOP, Congressional Republicans going against Trump, Peter Thiel fleeing the fucking country. Let's not get twisted up in cope dreams that once Trump is out of office, everything will go back to that 2010s optimism for the future; once he's gone there will only be work to do. However, I think the country is more resilient than we often like to give it credit for, and I believe we will get out of this quagmire. Though, we must do our best to make these next few elections too big for them to rig, we have to move as one nation, and be on the same page, or they will keep kicking us around.

Please remember also, ICE is not a professional military force, they aren't even Gestapo-level where they're staffed by hyper-militarist veterans. They aren't a cadre of competent soldiers, they're a band of street hooligans with guns and masks. They're more like Contras or Wagner PMC, they're mostly police larpers and wannabe miitiamen. If you catch them with their faces exposed, snap a quick photo, it'd be funny.

They know the border bullshit is just theater, that’s why they’re out there every day on their knees begging him to send ICE to Manhattan.

A lot of them actually admire Israel’s ethno-nationalism. It’s permanently out of reach for them now, which makes them covet Zionists even more.

Tell that to Mark Kelly, who told it to the country. Kegsbreath called it "sedition" and initiated proceedings to have him stripped of his rank and pension. A federal court blocked it, but of course it's being appealed.

Thankfully, federal courts have stepped up to block a lot of the Trump administrations machinations, but it doesn't stop them from dragging things out with appeals (you can also ask James Comey and E. Jean Caroll about that),

Honestly, this administration spends more time tying up the court system than doing what they were elected/appointed to do.

Don Lemon better watch out because he may be next.

Yeah, there's rumors that fatty is doing this so he can run in 2028 and then declare himself the winner when he gets destroyed by the actual vote. Of course, MAGAloids will love this because they want nothing more than to be submissive to a (then) 82 year old fat pedophile who shits his pants and serve him as their king

"Make Heaven Crowded" is a goddamn ominous slogan.

That sounds like the tagline to a Heaven's Gate-style suicide cult.

Or it explains why they love school shootings so much.
