You're not the only one. I remember her being very antivax at one point, constantly saying that she wasn't gonna get the vaccine until more "research" was done because she "didn't wanna put anything bad in her body". I'm 100% certain this was a thing.

She would 100% be given quicker access to the shot - the whole point was to keep the people most vulnerable to covid from having to go to the hospital. She would have been after old folks, health care workers, and specific chronic conditions, but before the general population by quite a while. (Unless Kentucky just made it a free for all, which I guess is possible. But my understanding was that most places staggered it like this.)

You're probably right that Becky was informed of it through Medicaid while Amber, who doesn't have private insurance even though she could afford it, remained proudly ignorant.
