It's in the name. A master's in theory should be for a select people who want to master a particular skill and focus solely on that skill. To power level I have a masters in Forensic Accounting because forensic accounting is my specialization in the profession and it is actually necessary. However now days because boomers have pulled up the work place ladder to keep themselves in cushy position, you need a masters just to get a basic entry level position and the qualification has now lost all meaning.

Dude what tf...... average salary USA is $70k and average house is a lil over $500k. In many cities/states you have to spend $400k just to get in a house. My friend lives in Denver, she makes $120k a year, lives in a 1000 square foot shack with holes in the ceiling in the hood and it is valued at $530k. What I'm saying is in many places paying less than 400k would mean living in a LITERAL shanty or not even be possible based on lot price alone. And low cost of living places aren't much better. A house in the hood in a shitty town in the midwest is gonna run you at least 100k.
What makes it worse is hypothetically boomers dying off would lead to a housing price crash but instead they would rather give their houses to corporations to rent or fill them with jeets because “they’re hard workers unlike those damn ungrateful kids!”

I had a boomer chastise me the other day for not buying a house. They were convinced the 30 year mortgage rate was 3%. They didn't understand that dropping >7.5% of the home's face value for the first few years places you in the red unless housing prices explode. 99% of all boomer home buying advice is based upon the assumption that the line only goes up and that it will go up faster than the stock market. The concept of maintenance costs (e.g. insurance, repairs, and taxes) and opportunity cost are not factored into their logic at all. There's also the magical idea of "renting" a house instead of selling it when you move. You're going to use a property management firm that's taking 10% of the monthly rent anyhow.
