Also, it never fails to amuse me that the people who are super into GamerGate (pro or anti) assume that everyone else knows what it is, when in reality it's never had mainstream exposure. The majority of people have never heard of GamerGate, nor would they care about it if they did hear about it.

The fact that these butthurt SJW's still care about GamerGate in 2017 is fucking amazing. I thought this shit died out in 2015 at the absolute latest and yet the die-hards on the far left are convinced it's still a thing.

They're blaming a dead hashtag movement for the election of Donald Trump and it is hilarious. I highly doubt a bunch of video gamers on the internet could really affect the election that much.

If anything got Trump in office, it was the fact that the Democrats shat the bed and nominated Hillary Clinton, who was widely despised by nearly everyone outside of the DNC's elites, and fucked over Bernie Sanders, a left-wing populist who actually stood a chance at beating Trump.

Hillary was an obvious and unlikable neocon that the Republicans could defeat no matter who they threw at her. The Democrats made the mistake of listening to the party elites, while the Republicans did the smart thing and actually listened to their voter base.

I'm not a Trump supporter in any way, but the reasons why he won are fairly obvious. GamerGate had nothing to do with him winning. At all. End of fucking story.

Complaining about GamerGate in 2017 is like complaining about Rickrolling, Sparta Remixes, or the Ice Bucket Challenge. It's a dead meme, not a grand evil conspiracy.

It's been dead for two years. The reason this shit won't die is because it's still being blamed for everything from Brexit to head lice.
