Why the fuck does he have a random inflatable pool with food floating? Then he chucks i think mint plants in it? To see if itll grow? Lol wtf. The brown sludge is honey mustard and relish or some shit. Surprised the city has not been called yet.

The psych evaluation was done on an outpatient basis. If he was deemed not to be an imminent risk to himself or others then there were no grounds for involuntary admission.

He is trying to ferment mushrooms on his stove to make kombucha. But you need to have a fully sterilized cooking spot in order to make this, and nothing in Tom's house is clean. So he might end up testing his stomach with his fight against parasites that would kill him

Is he actually trying to ferment mushrooms? Because kombucha is fermented black tea. It's tricky to get the Mother going so most people just take a piece of an existing one.

He's referred to the pool as a "native refrigerator" or smth, can't remember. I mean running water would keep things cool I guess, and lots of cultures did evaporative cooling via clay jars. No one uses a tepid open air kiddie pool in the desert to keep things cool though. He's got a fridge so idgi

Also I'm in awe of how quickly this new apartment turned into the same dump as his last one.

I'm part Injun and live in the heart of Injun country and I have NEVER heard of anyone storing produce in an inflatable pool under the midday sun. I've only heard of yellow people doing something so odd and gross.

As far as I can follow the story, his food stamps were about to expire so he moved what was already in the fridge to the tub in order to make room for more food (the food he bought at the supermarket he got kicked out of, I think).

Currently sitting in the tub is fish which had already been thawed out.
