So, is the house pretty much gone for good once Barb dies?

What's the chance there's a really big credit card debt waiting to be sprung on the Chandlers? Like, 20k or more?

We already know of 2 credit cards, which currently total to about 20k. Surely, she has more than that.

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the mortgage lender gets first say in what happens to the house. As in, even if Barb wills the house to Chris, it's still mortgaged off first, so Chris will only inherit the house if the lender company doesn't immediately sell it to make up for the repayment and instead waits to see if Chris wants to inherit it...

...which they might actually want to if 14 Branchland Court itself cannot be sold for $115,000, because if Chris inherits the house he would also inherit the debt and the :tugboat: guarantees the company will eventually make the money back, as long as Chris doesn't get himself killed.

Of course, if the house is worth more than what's left of the debt, they're probably going to just sell it and let Chris be homeless.

So if all of this is true, and again I am not an expert here, the best move for Chris and Barb is to actually spend everything and then trash the house, which would ensure the house cannot make up for the leftover debt, subsequently ensuring the company will opt to take money out of Chris's tugboat instead as the only option left for them... which is exactly what they have been doing...

It's highly likely that this is not the most of it, this is just the tip of the iceberg. From everything we've heard about the Chandler's budget, it seems that they like to live like Queens on a pauper's budget.

This may be relevant, this may not. One of my facebook friends (Only know him through an MMA forum) was recently evicted and is now homeless. He is someone who outright REFUSED to get a retail job or a job he deemed beneath him because he felt as a Military Veteran (He only served two years, eh) and an Associates Degree holder from ITT Tech (Again, eh) that he would rather have gone homeless than nut up and grow up (he is 36). He never got a driver's license, he would get fired from telemarketing jobs because he didn't put any effort. Did the homelessness cause him to break or admit his faults? NOPE literally the SAME DAY he got put into a homeless shelter he bitched about the wifi there, posted unfunny memes, and posted about how Skyrim could barely run on his laptop. At this very second is writing statuses about football, deleting any comment that mentions his current state and whether Football is that important. My point is Chris will probably be Chris no matter how bad things are as will Barb, they could be living at a homeless shelter and Chris would still be spending over a grand a month on transformers and pokemon cards and posting about autistic bullshit. The finachu crisis means nothing.

Wouldn't they kick Chris out if he kept getting amiibos and shit sent there? The thought being "if you can buy this you can pay for your own housing"?

there was a point where my family were homeless and went to the Veterans Association for help, and they did a fairly lengthy screening session about wages, where we were currently living, etc. It might be different with different organizations, but I think Chris might be disqualified from living anywhere with any substantial help because of his SSDI, besides a place to just crash for the night or something. Even if its not enough to live on per se.

Isn't Sheetz like a convenience store? Barb really likes bananas. And q-sands.

Also a gas station so TBF part of that $84.24 might be for gas.

And I'm triggered by all these people bashing Sheetz food. You haven't lived until you've had touchscreen tendies with Dr. Pepper BBQ sauce and a cup full of fries at 3am.

Sounds pretty sad to me.

Don't you dare talk shit about Sheetz food.

You know where it's at. I live less than 5 minutes away so it's my go to on the weekends if I'm craving something in the middle of the night.

No, but really. As far as gas station food goes, Sheetz is pretty tasty. Should you be eating it multiple times a week, possibly multiple times a day? Hell nah. But honestly, it's probably the healthiest thing the Chandler's eat.

If the house is taken and resold, I feel for those poor people who buy the house not knowing about Chris and Barb. They will harass the everloving shit out of the new owners.

This wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility with Chris' history of returning to places he was thrown out of.

"So I was passing through R-ville and decided to stop and see Old Farmstead of 14 Branchland Court, then I saw that dang dirty new owner MALE, tearing down by beloved Father's gazebo, and he had what Looked like shovels for digging in the earth out. I stopped and TOLD HIM that could NOT dig up Patti and that I had Buried her MYSELF. I bared my fangs and that JERK MALE called the POLICE ON ME."

lolcow thread when?

The larger Sheetzes have a sort of fast food restaurant in them. You can order entirely on a touchscreen device without ever talking to another person. That probably appeals to his autism.
Sounds like a modern day automat.

There is always the option that Chris himself could assume the mortgage. (This would mean that he would basically take over the mortgage with the same terms that Barb had.) It's a complicated process, though, and I don't know all of the details. There would need to be a clause in the original paperwork saying that the loan is assumable. (This depends on the lender and the type of mortgage.) I believe Chris would have to financially qualify. (It's unlikely but not impossible.) There are some other details that would have to be looked at. (I've been assuming this is a Home Equity loan, and I don't know if those are assumable.)

The unfortunate bottom line is that assuming a mortgage sometimes is a difficult process, and we all know how Chris feels about work.

Do we know that Chris isn't a signer on the mortgage? We know that Barb sometimes has him co-sign on things, right? Maybe she put him on this new mortgage.

Could Chris pay a mortgage with his monthly income? When Barb dies, will his tugboat increase?

I mean, the dude gets 1200 a month, apparently. 300-ish of that probably goes into his car payment. That leaves 900 for everything else. The averge mortgage payment in itself is about 950 dollars.

And then there are the light bills, water, and internet. And he stills needs food on top of that. Plus gas money. Plus a phone card. Unless he's on a plan, in which case, even more money.

If his tugboat doesn't increase, could he really manage? I mean maybe Barb has some money stashed somewhere, but who knows.

I don't see how the signature of a spastic tard with no job would add much to a loan application.

I'm sorry, that's what I get for not knowing this place at all, but if they ever consider the viable Toledo market, I'll have a better opinion of them. I was referring more to the self-serve approach here in ordering, I'm always concerned about messing up an order that way since I'd rather talk to a real person, but perhaps if they gave you enough options on there, I wouldn't mind.

Farms permitting I would gladly screencap his best posts. He deserves his own thread. I literally check his facebook nearly as often as I check the farms to get my tard-related lols on. This his how he worded getting evicted;
"And homelessness is a go =\. Things are already off to a rip roaring start as I overestimated my ability to lug shit to the bus stop. Fell way behind schedule AND still had to abandon a fuckton of clothes. I wish I could have limited my belongings to what fit in my rolling suit case but there was just no way

"
Less than ten hours later;
"Meh. Wifi barely gets into the actual shelter part of the building.
I was getting 13Mbps whilst waiting outside near the clinic and getting between 1-2 in the shelter proper -_-"
I don't know how apropos it would be to post screencaps or start a thread solely based on Facebook status updates from a manchild with a lazy eye not named Chris.
