Secured debt, like on a HELOC or mortgage, doesn't go away, but if they were underwater on the house and got a deficiency judgment (for the rest of the mortgage) that subsequent debt would go away. Also judgment liens and other things go away, but only if you do specific things to make sure of it. Lots of those crappy $750 to declare bankruptcy guys fuck that stuff up all the time.

Also tax debts don't go away. Or student loans.

What about Chapter 13?

It's for wage earners with an actual plan to pay back. It also doesn't discharge all their immediate problems like the consumer debt they'll never pay back in a million years.
 
I don't think Barb even cares about her own debt. She's about to die, so she may as well just let it do whatever and let Chris deal with it once she passes.
Of course, Chris, being an idiot with no job or money (outside the :tugboat:, which won't pay off the debt), won't be able to pay it off, if anything somehow does fall to him. Combined with his own personal debts and lack of financial responsibility, things are about to get real bad for ol' Baldy.

And we'll be here to watch it all go down:story:

Bothering to check out their site, namely the location section, I see they have yet to advance onto the western Ohio front. I wonder how long I can hold out for?

If so, it would be a 2 hour trip from where they are to get there and back as the nearest ones are in Waynesburo and Harrisonburg. Charlottesville is free of the menace.
 
This may be relevant, this may not. One of my facebook friends (Only know him through an MMA forum) was recently evicted and is now homeless. He is someone who outright REFUSED to get a retail job or a job he deemed beneath him because he felt as a Military Veteran (He only served two years, eh) and an Associates Degree holder from ITT Tech (Again, eh) that he would rather have gone homeless than nut up and grow up (he is 36). He never got a driver's license, he would get fired from telemarketing jobs because he didn't put any effort. Did the homelessness cause him to break or admit his faults? NOPE literally the SAME DAY he got put into a homeless shelter he bitched about the wifi there, posted unfunny memes, and posted about how Skyrim could barely run on his laptop. At this very second is writing statuses about football, deleting any comment that mentions his current state and whether Football is that important. My point is Chris will probably be Chris no matter how bad things are as will Barb, they could be living at a homeless shelter and Chris would still be spending over a grand a month on transformers and pokemon cards and posting about autistic bullshit. The finachu crisis means nothing.
