Most addicts lie out of necessity, to the people close to them or trying to hold them accountable. Ralph is such an insecure drunk he feels the need to lie to randos on twitter. Just pathetic.
Ralph would have been better off saying he's drinking in moderation, not abstaining from drinking. A beer is alcohol there is no way to spin that as not drinking within the 43 day window.

EDIT: He was quite indignant and said this segment was recorded several weeks before and doesn't prove that he hasn't quit drinking at this current time. "I recorded that on May the 9th...it says original broadcast on May 25th because that was the first day it was released to the public".
