If I remember, the mediation was after the TCPA hearing where Chupp threw out Jamie completely and threw out everything besides defamation against the other three parties. They had a better than even chance that Chupp would just throw the rest out.

The mediation was a fucking joke, and just wasted the money of all parties on an absolutely futile endeavor. It was that shitty judge's pathetic attempt to weasel out of what may be a humiliating dressing down by the appeals court that could put the kibosh on this dipshit's hope of ever ending up on that very same court.
