This is a slight tangent. But the reason I am not up in arms or afraid for my country (anymore) is that its slowly become evident that the handlers for Biden have drunk the kool-aid and are doing an old favorite of the Democrats.
Catastrophically overreaching.
Take for instance the current attempt to label all braced pistols as short-barreled rifles. This is laughably out of touch with the law and constitution. So, why are they trying it? Well, put simply they shouldn't. They assumed they'd have full control of the legislature and be able to make as many judges and laws as they want. This failed, spectacularly to the point there are now two senators vocally against it on the Dem side. But... they continue because Democrats -honestly believe- the shit they spew and are stuck in the mindset where they had control of SCOTUS through Roberts and thus anything they did would simply be... not viewed.
Let's be clear, this SCOTUS will take up gun issues. That's what their little decision indicates earlier. So any attempt to reclassify bracers is kinda doomed to failure, and courtesy of their overreach it might even implicate other issues.
And thus we reach why I am much less worried now. Having failed to set up what they need for their Glorious Utopia, they have indicated they intend to march forward anyway. Because never underestimate a democrats ability to overreach.

They're trying to make hand stops a thing that counts against a gun being a NFA item. It's literally a little nub of metal that gives you a reference point so you don't put your hand on the scorching hot barrel. Same shit they did with suppressors. Take something that's designed to make the gun safer and outlaw it in the name of gun safety. Where's the 2a "lifetime NRA member" republicans when you need them?

Which is kinda the amusing part from an independent like me. For all the times that Republicans were called old dinos stuck in the past, it seems like the Democrats are stuck in a period they had hegemonic control. The Republican Party IS changing, slowly but becoming a much more capable opponent. They lost SCOTUS, and their legislature control is thin at best.
And yet they keep trucking along as if nothing changed, and keep getting slapped in the face due to that. The only question remaining is whether the Blue Dog's hold when Biden loses on something big. And the signs indicate yes, they will.

I can see Her Majesty having the understanding that everyone in Britain knows that Biden is a mentally ill, dithering old biddy. Biden would still be offed, but we would not let the opportunity go to waste. The diplomatic leverage such an act would give, would be immense. Her Majesty would literally take it on the chin, give out a remake like "philip used to hit me harder than that in bed, you Yanks are still soft as dog droppings" and move in (in public)
Infact, Biden laying a (soft) jab on Her Majesty would probably be the best outcome for both countries, providing no long-term damage occurred to the Queen.
It must be endlessly frustrating for HM though. Her husband passed away at 99 and was still fairly spry right up until the car crash. To see Biden, 20 years his and her junior, must be confusing to see. "Perhaps flouride does make you retarded" - The Queen, probably.

The constant need to stand in the way of a simple audit is almost evidence that there is knowledge of malfeasance as high as the AG. Should the GOP win big in 2022 they need to start commissions on the 2020 elections and push them as hard as possible...they also need to routinely impeach Biden and Kamala for any possible infraction. Start with a real ol fashioned Mueller Style investigation into Hunter, Joe, and Ukraine. While that is going on do the same with Kamala and funding bail for BLM-ANTIFA guerillas.
A message needs to be sent.
The problem is every time they overreach they claw a little ground and that is how we get here.
They overreach the moderates and right beat them back but refuse to go on the offensive so they gain a little ground.
