General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

Far as i know only Botan was going to play it, she picking Diablo 2 is.... odd

Edit: also weird how Hololive is shilling Blizzard considering who is the owner of that sweatshop

Her streaming coincides with a bunch of other non-Holo channels also streaming D2 last night, so I'm leaning into this being more of a Blizzard marketing campaign to have all these channels streaming D2 to promote the game within a certain time period. Saturate YouTube trending and the algo with as much D2 livestreams in order to promote the game.

Its sad that I will probably get that game (unless they fuck something up like they did with Warcraft 3 Reforged). Even sadder that D2 is better than D3 and will probably be better than D4.
I still say Torchlight 2 Uber Alles, personally.

also, Rene did a rap stream. I’m not really a big fan of Japanese hip hop, so it didn’t do a lot for me, but she at least has a good sense of flow.

Is just Diablo 2 with fancy graphics (that you can swap), funny how they are not making them shill Immortal

Nene posted her schedule for next week and there is a big announcement in her karaoke stream. Wonder what could it be? inb4 3D announcement.

it would be in the right time frame I would say. Gen5 debuted in August, had their 3Ds in January. That's a 6 months. In that time, assuming they take 3 months to see how the generation is doing before beggining building the 3D frames, rigging etc, Nene's 3D would've been partway complete when West Taiwan imploded. This would have prompted Cover and possibly Nene to redesign herself to dissociate from the West Taiwan influences, halting her 3D development as they shift resource for the redesign while the rest of Gen5 continue to have their 3D built. January is her redesign reveal, work resumes on her 3D, which... would be finished around now assuming they didn't trash the entire 3D frame and just had to readapt it to her new design and such.

Perhaps, it also makes sense when Nene has been attending dance lessons and posted them on Twitter. So the possibility that the announcement could be a 3D stream is possible.

Because EN audience is pretty retarded and most likely engage with the spammer instead of ignoring it.
Not only will they engage, but they will also probably engage in a lot of race specific insults which will get a lot of reactions in twitter by the usual SJW and lead to even more drama. Add in the retarded tankie cucks that defend china and it actually would be pretty bad for Hololive.

They probably would rather keep the "comfy, wholesome" facade they got going on, than get into a highly public drama that will unleash the spergs. "wholesome" communities tend to be the most toxic ones when attacked.

To summarize the theories behind Coco and HoloEN tip-toeing around the topic of their potential collab:
- the management doesn't want their precious HoloEN to be attacked by bugmen, keeps quiet about it
- the management doesn't want the much bigger HoloEN audience to go Nanking on bugmen, keeps quiet about it
- the management set some rules way back during Taiwan Yabai and nobody is willing to ask the upper management to change it
- Coco is working behind the scenes as an occasional manager/mentor/guide and potential collab could disclose that it is not the girls' first collab :smug:

The community tends to forget quickly about stuff and if Cover does not answer, the interest will die down in a day or two (or maybe it has already), but I'm REALLY curious about the real reason.

Regarding another topic, mentioned by @reinigen - Polka did at least one more stream of Night in the Woods, was there anything related to the Professional Victim driving the developer to committing not alive? It was kinda unevitable that this shit will be brought up, but maybe the other streams went without such incidents. The game didn't catch the attention of other vtubers though.

I can't believe Takodachi just fucking died
it should be moved to the thread "post videos of people dying" or something

Edit: wonder if they are going to do watchalongs like the nintendo direct of the E3 now that is online only
I would love to join something like that, even if it's constant griefing.

This point made me think that they probably could've have had an off-collab and or (not sure if debunked) Coco is represented as Enma in some of the occasional streams

The initial time Polka played, word got through the Grapevine to Scott that an anime girl streamer was playing his game. So he showed up for Session 2 and was initially in chat. However, as I posted, some people in chat told him to fuck off in the appropriate way, the fucking cunt. I'm not sure if Polka herself realized what happened, but the Polka discord server briefly mentioned it, and the mods seemly squashed discussion, saying "They can talk about it after the stream".
I never went back to check however. Reason being the mods/power users seemed like the kind of power tripping SJWs you want to avoid. In play session #1, one commented on Mae's (the main character's mother) mom, saying that she was the shittiest mother ever. When someone tried to comment (correctly) that she was just a small town person who had no idea how to handle a child with mental illness, the mod/poweruser shot back "Well, she's a shitty parent and you can't discount my lived experiences". So yea.

Hoping for Pika to gently coach Uto's English when appropriate; not only would it be cute it would more importantly help both of them build confidence in their english skills.
Was honestly expecting a collab with Hana before this since Pika and Hana are supposedly friends.
This also confuses me; they've been established to be friends to where Hana's dad has thanked Pikamee on stream, yet most of their public interactions have been limited to group collabs and the occasional Twitter back-and-forth. Would love to see it though; Hana is the only Niji I keep up with due to just being that damn good, and Pikamee is a wellspring of fun.
