General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

I’m pretty sure Luna had some MH videos either on her old channel or shortly after she debuted on Holo, and I definitely remember watching those and thinking she was extremely good at it.
Yeah, Luna was big into MHW when it dropped because I remember watching her early streams before the apocalypse. I didn't even realize they had been deleted at first until I went looking for them and could barely find anything.

She was a Great Sword main in World I believe.

she broke an arm or a leg, if i remember.
She mentioned in her stream she had a kneecap fracture of some sort.
she has a small crack on her knee somewhere. Probably hairline fracture.
Unfortunately, apparently she broke/fractured/microfractured her knee.
3:02 [en] She went for a checkup at the hospital for something else, but found out she had a broken leg.
3:49 [en] Might have broken it at the 3D stream
4:20 [en] She will announce when she takes a break this month
4:44 [en] It's just a crack on the knee bone
5:07 [en] Everyone be careful too
5:30 [en] She hopes she doesn't have to stay at the hospital for too long
5:49 [en] She won't know if she needs surgery or not until the stay
6:56 [en] she might have to take a break for 1month or so if surgery is needed
7:38 [en] (Lets hope she is okay)
I can't take these hiatus... I'm in too deep. VChuubas are more addictive than drugs I tell you
that was taken from her 3rd recent stream, I used HoloDex and their inbuilt translator box above chat. She's also tweeted about it but JP to EN makes it sound like she blew her legs out and not just a simple small crack somewhere. It'll depend on her check up next/next(?) week.

How do I link tweets on the farms again? Or rather, what's the code for it

MHW and Souls games. Sadly both got wiped from her channel during the snap. Supposedly they got permission to play Dark Souls a while back, but nothing ever came from it. Gura even scheduled it, but had to cancel it for some reason. I do hope they sort out whatever the issue is. I'd love to see another No Armor Luna Dark Souls run. Outside of Aqua, she's probably one of the strongest gamers in Hololive.

But if anyone wants to relive her heydays, at least some people were smart enough to reupload the streams.

I think this video has been posted in this thread already, but anyway: it is clear to me that here has to be some rule by the management preventing Coco and HoloEN from collabs. Coco, Kiara and (I think) Cali all expressed their interest in the collab, so MAYBE it will happen eventually. With better moderation implemented, chinks have been reduced to a minor nuisance at this point, so maybe it will happen sooner than we think.

EN follows "don't even say Coco's name" to heart, with no jokes and almost no slip-ups, that's definitely decided by someone that the Holos don't want to fuck with. Unlikely to be Yagoo since he has bigger shit to deal with, but could be one of the producers or even a decision by Cover Corp's board of directors (if they have one).
In one of Calli's recent streams someone asked her why she doesn't collab with Coco in her meme review streams and she said the same thing as always "I really want to but it's out of my hands etc, etc." people are starting to get more and more curious as to why the HoloEN girls can't collab with Coco and Cover eventually will have to answer the question everyone's asking.

Blatantly obvious that a sizable fandom was formed by gen 4 debut. Every following generation has that sweet subscriber bump at the beginning.

You're in KiwiFarms, faggot.

Uh.. did you miss the part where you flipped your shit over being corrected and being told you bought a house in a shit neighborhood? Take your own addvice and grow thicker skin. Its also kind of funny that you follow up "you're on kiwifarms with" "stop baiting me". Isn't the expectation that people can figure out bait for themselves and ignore it?

Is it really that big of a problem that I actually like some of the vshojo creators? You call it "baiting" when I talk about them at all. I actually want to see that Veibae/Kiara collab because I think it would be good. The en girls get really uncomfortable when Kiara curses or makes an obscene reference, which makes for awkward collabs. Veibae would fire back with an even more obscene remark, and they would play off of one another.

Veibae isn't in Vshojo (yet), but Vshojo teased new a new member (or maybe more) on the same day Vei has an announcement/new model debut stream scheduled so that might change.
Right, I forgot about that. She collabs so much with the other girls that she basically seems like a member. I think you're right about the two announcements being related.

Mate, I'm sorry to say this but it'll only happen if it happens. You seem to be forgetting that everyone is friendly with everyone in kayfabe, but collabs are a little harder to manage.
I'll agree that its easier said than done with the Cover management. Kiara even said it wasn't a "near term" thing. However now that we have the Nyanners/Azki collab I think the door is very much open. I get that none of the girls are going to say "I hate so and so, I don't want a collab" if asked about it, but Kiara and Polka have both made un-forced statements naming a specific person who they want to collab with, so I think they're genuine.

I mentioned it somewhere else in the context of Coco in particular, but I feel like it could be applied to people like Pekora as well. But, even though some EN Members blow JP out of the water in regards to Subscriber numbers, when looking purely at money earned via Superchats, JP Simps blow EN Simps out of the water.

It's quite the opposite actually. Look at the numbers on playboard.co and how much supacha have the EN milked in the past 6 months compared to average or even the popular JP's.

If you want to know why Coco can't collab with EN, here's my theory that I thought out in 2 minutes:

The management hierarchy of Hololive talent looks like this
  • Talent managers - the ones that handle 1 to 3 individual Holos, personal managers (agenda, yt channel personal finance etc)
  • Hololive Producers - they handle many aspects of the Hololive branch as a whole (concerts, projects, new talent etc)
  • Cover corp management - Employers that worked on Cover before Hololive was a thing, their focus was on AR/VR development. These niggas are the most alienated what Hololive is concerned. They handle the overall finances of Cover and therefore Hololive. They also have a major say in sponsorship deals and other things that Producers need permission for.
The biggest hurdle for Holo talent lies in any decision where Cover managers have a say.
Take Pekora's drama a couple of months ago. Whatever she wanted to do was probably cockblocked by a Producer and the issue isn't that the Producer wasn't willing to help out the cause, it was probably that he did not even try to talk to Cover Management about it. He simply followed the playbook, saw that Pekoras request was out of line and gave a hard no without even consulting on Cover Management if they couldn't ''bend the rules'' a little. This just doesn't happen japanese companies.

I imagine a similar thing going on with Coco. They made a set of rules for her after the China incident and even if it was back in September, they won't change these rules yet (and who knows how long that will last).
We all know, even the Producers, that a Coco-EN collab will be, with 99% certainty, just fine without any major hiccups. But this same Producer won't even try to ask Cover Management if it's possible to ''undo'' the Coco regulations ahead of time. He/She simply won't. That's the sad unbending nature of salaryman.

Holy shit, didn't notice that Noel and Okayu are about to hit 1M in a couple of weeks or so.
Noel is boosted by the power of COOM, but the cat is a pleasant surprise.

Been a while lads taken abit of time to read everything from where I last left off. Seen we have had a sprinkle of doom posting and discussing covers questionable management system. I bring Oni giggles and silliness as a returning gift.

Numberfagging aside, I agree that it is neat that Okayu will get 1M soon.
Holy hell what would an average Nijisanji streamer give to get anywhere near those numbers.

Pivoting to Reine and Ame's APEX stream, really digging their dynamic. Reine's spontaneity and fluency in English makes this a far more pleasant collab stream as opposed to the chaotic bursts of fun and awkwardness when it was Ame and Ollie. You can tell Reine's well-versed in the nuances of casual conversation that she can actually get Amelia to be more verbose.

Reine is really good and collab with anyone.
If I were holoEN's manager, I would not want to deal with the chinkbots swarming in. Antis are tarded enough as it is. Miko's streams are still getting hundreds of dislikes after the doujin chicanery.
Why not? Is it so hard to ignore and ban em? What could they even do other than spam chat like retards? Why is everyone talking about this as if they were some sort of IRL terror threat?

The Coco x EN collab should be under members only chat.
Even if the bugmen try to spam chat, its not like the western audiences give a shit and the girls (aside maybe from kiara) seem to be able to deal with retards, so its unlikely it will bother them that much.
They could milk the whole situation for money. People want to spam shit, ban them from membership get them to pay again.

Uh.. did you miss the part where you flipped your shit over being corrected and being told you bought a house in a shit neighborhood?

I'm not gonna uproot myself from a paid-off house I grew up in

YAWN. You must've missed this when you were skimming. This is boring now, dude.

Is it really that big of a problem that I actually like some of the vshojo creators? You call it "baiting" when I talk about them at all.

I mean, you've used them on more than one occasion baiting folks on this thread and you've made your bones trolling one of its frequent posters in it with your entry into it. Is it such a surprise that people are conditioned to dismissively treat most of your shit as bait initially?

With regards to visceral reaction to your shilling VSHoujo collabs with the EN girls, I have no doubt the Veibae dynamic you proposed CAN work, it's just not a direction people prefer the Holo girls take their content to, otherwise, you'd see more of them being discussed in this thread in earnest and not just as potential lolcows. Doesn't matter that a lot of the JP girls venture into that content area - you're contending with the pre-existing biases in the thread. You've already signaled on more than one occasion that you're well-aware of this. Is it such a surprise that you see people react the way they do? And it's not that most folks here actively dislike your oshis. I'd venture most are generally ambivalent about them but we do get to occasionally poke you about them the way you get to poke around with the rest of the thread.

Added to the fact that we just got through the thread almost getting nuked by Null and the rest of the occasional tourists trying to pigeonhole the vtubing community as nothing more than being in it for coomer shit so the fact that there are a sizeable number of folks who would like to disassociate from the usual coomer-baiting that the VShoujo girls became notorious for should be understandable. They carry around the same baggage from their past (Nyanners, Melody) the way Keeki as Kiara gets to carry hers. In that vein, I think even Keeki comes out a bit better off since she at least gets a flimsy shield out of Cover's "Don't talk about the talents' past lives" policy.

It's generally hard to get a good read on Cover's upper management as a lot of the company's policies always come off as arbitrary and reactionary so I would tend to agree with your take about Coco basically being in "corpo jail". And lots of people in middle management tend to not want to fuck around with set company policies just to protect their own necks.

Why not? Is it so hard to ignore and ban em? What could they even do other than spam chat like retards? Why is everyone talking about this as if they were some sort of IRL terror threat?

I think there are a lot of folks that actually welcome the chance at it - basically trying to test the resolve of the initial antis' missive of not touching the EN girls and limiting their attacks on Coco and JP. And talent management should be well-aware of it as well. Them just not wanting to deal with a potential powder keg of some autistic EN fans trying to DDOS Bilibili in retaliation and incite an online holy war is at least understandable.

I’ll say every new girl might get around 200K freebies sub for just debuting with Hololive as this moment (sad for the boys). After that they will have to grind for themselves.
