And so here we are on r/AskTransgender. Interestingly, this is apparently her second attempt at posting here; she deleted her first post after the commenters attacked her for some reason. Again, "conversion therapy" gets brought up. Troons are really conniving about this, and it disgusts me. They consider any therapist who isn't "gender-affirming" and doesn't rubber-stamp transitions to be just as bad as those electric-shock gay conversion therapy kooks.
This will get too long if I screencap the replies, so check them out for yourself if you're interested. They basically all say that OP needs to be "supportive" (enabling) of her child trooning out. I keep meaning to do a big writeup in the SRS or parents of trans kids threads about hormone blockers so i wont get too into it, but far as ive researched there havent been any studies that specifically look at the long term effects on children/teens, and yet i have found pamphlets from US government medical agencies that say hormone blockers are a "reverseable treatment option". Genuinely concerned parents are being actively lied to on multiple fronts.
