I have some sympathy for the parents though, because these girls are being coached by the internet and by their therapists to threaten suicide if they don't get their way.
However, there's also likely a reverse element to some of them that you can't just sweep under the rug. I can guarantee some of these girls were the shy, withdrawn, introverted I'm not like other girls types before starting testosterone and when it ramped up their sex drive coupled with them now being 'men' they gain a weird sort of fake confidence, although given they're still only posting on a reddit to live out their fantasies not quite as much as they think.
