In 1960 the new state of Hawaii had a dispute over the results and sent two sets of electors. When it turned out that Kennedy had won, VP Richard Nixon selected JFK slate of electors. If there had been only Nixon electors this would not have been possible.
So if a state is disputed it behooves the party disputing it to send their own slate of electors just in case the dispute works out in their favor.
So what's likely to happen now? And I am sorta confused why people are claiming it's just GOP larping more than anything. Seems really weird to me.
