He is a pro player, he cant fuck up

Yea little problem with that....he isn't a pro at all, I barely call him an amateur. When you look at his SF2ST and any other fighting game( since for some weird reason he applies SF2ST mechanics to other fighting games) he has an understanding of the basics and basic flowchart and that's it; no advanced skill game play whatsoever. Its how just about anybody with average level skills beat him out everything. I will concede he's won some locals, qualifies and beaten some notable people but when it came to the real shit, he got cleaned up everytime; hell one of those guys in 2005 took his bullshit Vega and upgraded in real time.

The point is calling him a pro is....laughable at best and sad as hell at worst.

He might have technically been a pro before but not now. And I'm not talking about the decay of his playing skills. In the 90s and early 2000s. The 'pro scene' of fighting games was just a fairly small self selected group of nerds. How many people in 2007 would choose to spend thousands of dollars to crisscross the country to play video games and most likely not earn anything back? No offense to the pros back then but being a high level player then where your competition is the local kids in the neighborhood then an insular group of nerds in tournaments is nothing compared to being a high level player now where every tom dick and harry can login and play a game. And thats shown abundantly when mr american champion regularly gets bodied by randos. And by the fact that even in his prime he never quite cracked the top tier of players (unless you count that one infamous night) He's above average, maybe even a good player in SF2 (which sounds impressive until you realize he's bad at practically every other game) but he's not tournament level, not even at his peak when you actually open the game up to a truly worldwide audience. And this really eats him up inside since up until his 20s his identity was based on being a fighting game pro. Thats why he rages especially at fighting games and especially at SF.. Being beaten literally chips away at his psyche. Like so many things he was at the right time right place to climb to the 'heights' of the FGC even heights for him meaning getting at most 4th place on that weird port and becoming hated and broke.

Well he was EXTREMELY salty today when he returned from break (super late btw) and he said something happened bethind the scenes and he had personal issues with his family that kept him away for a bit longer

Divorce arc incoming

He was insulting long time viewers for not asking how he was and not being understanding as well... really rattled

For all people are hying up the divorce saga, don't forget this is Phil we're talking about so more than likely he just doesn't have turkey hotdogs for his dindins making him stomp upstairs and sulk.

Might have had a call with momma Burnell and she got on his ass about that job he was supposed to get.

DSP is like a living parody of someone's dad who was good at a particular sport at secondary school-level and never let it go. That's the crowning achievement of his life and he's still deluded into thinking that he's still "got it". He could still dunk on LeBron/outdribble Messi/3-0 the shit outta Nadal etc. When he gets humiliated by some kid, it's not his fault, it's not because the kid is of a higher skill level, it's because the game has changed (it's running at the wrong speed, dood! It's nothing like the arcade version!) Like Watson said in that infamous interview, he's going to put "Top Ranked North American Super Turbo Player" on his gravestone.

He refuses to adapt, he plays ahnline all the time but he still keeps bitching about ahnline khambos, that's his 12 year old legacy, if you closed your eyes and played a soundclip of him bitching from his recent SF Throwbhek stream and a SF4 match upload from back in the day and made sure that the sound quality is brought down so it doesn't sound too different, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference which is from when. If he wanted to play relatively lag-free he could always fire up Fightcade, but we all know that he's ducking Fightcade harder than the average WWI soldier ducked artillery fire while they were in a trench. Again, he already preloaded an excuse - Fightcade is full of cheaters running TAS tools and mahkroez! There are so many oldfags in the fighting game scene who are still here decades later and doing very well, the main difference being is that they don't rest on their laurels, they still train, adapt to new tech, new games, a new breed of players. He doesn't even adapt to different games, every game in his mind has to work like Super Turbo. Third Strike has to be Super Turbo, SF Alpha games have to be Super Turbo, SFV has to be Super Turbo, Tekken has to be Super Turbo, KoF has to be Super Turbo, need I go on?

Hell, I'll admit, I hate playing online, it's always laggy as shit because I have garbage third world Slavternet, Fightcade is the only client that works well for me, but if I wanna play some hot new game like I dunno let's say Tekken 7 and have a good time, I just invite my fri- oh wait nevermind DSP betrayed all his friends and went full Hermit Mode.

In the end, the biggest irony of all is that he himself wouldn't have this bragging right of Top Rhenked EVO Super Turbo player if he didn't adapt to the PS1 version that isn't like the arkheid, dood! All the other top level players at the time who didn't boycott it had embarrassingly bad results that time because they didn't learn and adapt to the gimped version while Phil did, and now a decade and a half later he's the same scrub who refuses to adapt to even the slightest change, while everyone else from that era learned their lesson.

When asked about why he only responds to Derich, he said that he was always asking PERTINENT questions and was the best chatter in his stream because of his pahsitivity and being on target.

Derich sent maybe 40 short messages last stream consisting of ''Thank you for the playthough!'' and ''I loved this playthrough'' ( insert Tevin voice )

His best chatter is a 18 yo with infants playlist on youtube, sings pokemon songs in his closet and pollutes chat with autistic garbage. He probably shoves lego pieces in his ass while masturbating watching kids shop at his local toys r us too.

I compare it to the infant years of the UFC where it was for all extensive purposes a circus sideshow I can remember one of the guys in those early shows fighting with A SINGLE boxing glove on. It was mostly strip mall sensei's and guys who doubled as bouncers when not doing smokers in the back of the bar nothing like today. Same for back then it was a sideshow novelty and everyone had to have a schtick or else they were just generic zipper #205648 or a fat swarthy lump of wannabe Italian from the east coast *talking from earpiece* waitaminute that last one was Phil oh shit how is it I've not connected the dots until now?

For some reason, DSP ended yesterday's Pokémon playthrough with the notion that his Pokémon Sword streams never were about the money, and that he didn't care about receiving only $26 in tips.

Clip:

I laughed out loud and decided to make a compilation of the huge amount of moments during the Pokémon Sword playthrough where, in true DSP fashion, he himself completely and utterly contradicts this very notion.

Enjoy.

lol. He is one salty bitch the last hour of that stream. Also, "who gives a fuck?". That won't follow you around for the last year you have to stream.

Hi Phail! waving smiley.gif

Phil's lies have created a resonance cascade, leaving nothing but the DSP-superstate. He is simultaneously rich, poor, financially secure, doesn't need to budget, doesn't need clout, is an under-dog, is highly regarded, has a legacy, is only really known for jerking off on camera, is a laughing-stock, is finally starting to be taken seriously, really needs your help, finances are none of your business, come to me for the whole truth, really loves games, hates Stalker and Morrowind, isn't a shill, kept the chair, didn't break the exercise bike, couldn't disassemble it, is independent and unbiased, steals money from friends, family, and taxpayers....

There's no Phil anymore. Just a series of lies he holds up to shield himself from consequences and judgement.

I just want to point out that Phil stated this morning that he is planning to play a handful of games at PS5 launch, but he is not getting an XBox and just noted that there were about 4 PS5 launch games that he won't play right away.
He needs to buy 5 games.
He just begged for tips and said that he also needs to buy the PS5 and the headset.

He has already begged for the PS5 headset, explicitly, twice, saying that he would be charged for it that following weekend. He received tips for it every time. They have disappeared now.
He also begged for $1500-$2000 framed as purchasing all of the games, including the ones that he is now not buying until after he receives his other extra $3k for the games and system on the next Twitch paycheck in 8 days.

This is an actual scam.

He also opened by berating the nameless regulars that he said were bashing the Watchdog streams. He said people just need to leave if they don't like the game, and that he'll ban negativity now. He refused to identify them, but said that it sucked because they weren't just randoms, but were regulars... that he often 'talks to behind the scenes'. So he is apparently carrying on email conversations with some of these regulars... or there is a secret paypig Discord. Either way, another piece of evidence that Phil is making arrangements with his regulars outside of the stream.

Ostatnio edytowane:
I predict Phil is about to have a massive fallout such as a divorce and Kat reveals she was abused by Phil or something, and Phil is doing the clout version of “lawyeringup” to try to handle the fallout
Honestly, with this sudden radical change in tone after some extremely naked and aggressive begging, I feel like something happened. I don't know if he was just embarrassed after he got bodied in his begging tweet, if he got spooked by his chat regulars memeing and not giving money, or if Twitch slapped his wrist and told him to take a cold shower, but we've got a mild appearance of 'FakeSydePhil' mixed with some heavy defensiveness. And it started almost overnight following that heavy begging.

Maybe it's just the walls closing in with low tips, no begging angles, and maybe a concern that he won't hit the Christmas marathon goal (and thereby cancel Christmas, I guess).
But we've got some pretty radical personality swings happening.
