I don't know, just few years ago almost no one was talking against this shit, just some few terfs in some niche online communities but now you have more people than ever saying that they're fed up with this shit.

But for every normie who's sick of it there are 10 internet weirdos with nothing but time to scream to whoever will listen/happens to be there. They've always been a vocal minority and they've made tons of headway in infiltrating every facet of life, why would it stop now? Organizations for Lesbians are supporting trans people over the people they were founded to protect. People go to prison for misgendering a man in a dress in the UK. Literal children are getting their genitals mangled more than they ever did a few years ago.

Call me cynical, but I don't see this ending any time soon.
 
Well of course this won't be over overnight but still you see bbc and such dropping the mermaids and so on, so something is happening. i think for example how reddit banned all gender critical subs is result of the trannies panicing over the fact that the tide is starting to turn, if those subs didn't pose them any harm or risk of more people seeing what their cult is about, why ban them? If terfs and such don't threaten them in any way why are they so hysterical about censoring any opposing view points?

Maybe if you all woke up to this issue recently everything seems hopeless to you but as someone who's been tervening since 2013 things have progressed, even if the progress will take a dip in the deep end first before it gets better. More people are detransitioning, more women are getting fed up, gay men definitely won't be putting up with fujoshis trying to force them to like vaginas, most people won't be able to walk on eggshells forever. It's tiring and you just can't ingore for example the detransitioners for ever.

I most definitely haven't been tervening since 2013, but I agree that things are progressing.

I like to point out to people that a group screams the loudest when they think they're losing control of the situation. Transgender people (and troons) existed long before the plague of troons was unleashed upon the Internet, and they'll exist long after this dies down. But how loudly everybody is talking about it is an indication that the situation is not going to last. It will take a few years for sure, but even if there's no unified backlash support will start to wane as people get tired/bored of supporting this trend and move on to the next. You could argue it has begun in places, with LBGdroptheT starting to find purchase in some larger groups.

Give it a few years and troons will be complaining that they were forgotten in favor of the new social justice fad, just like LGB are angry at troons for overshadowing them. It's the circle of autism activism.

This is something I've been suspecting for a while and I believe it'll be it's own kind of shitshow when it finally comes.

If you take a look at detrans sub on Reddit, a large majority of the posts are exactly that whiny "it's not my fault, someone pushed me to troon out. Pity me, I'm a victim". While I do not disagree that medical industry is corrupted enough to bill transitioning as a "treatment" for gender dysphoria in the first place, or that the current cultlike pressure can lead to someone trooning out. There's still a personal decision regarding transitioning - yet if you know troon psychology, a lot of them have underlying issues and narcissism that made them unable to accept that they can be wrong. (This can be fixed, but will they be willing to do so? I cannot answer)

When the fad dies down, "detransitioning" may become a new fad and social currency for these people to milk more pity and attention points than moving forward. The blame may get flinged around. Maybe to LGB groups, or other groups that aren't exactly responsible for trans madness. While people who profited from it would just pack their bags up and leave.

Ultimately, I believe all troons, even the ones from the last century, are victim of medical malpractices. But this doesn't mean that they had no part in it.

Regarding this whole "justice for Alex" situation, did this girl even ask for "help" or did people just take it upon themselves to ruin her mothers life and hers by proxy? As far as I can tell the whole situation happened because the mother posted shit all over the kids social media then took her phone.

I'm not convinced that detransitioners will ever get the rapt attention from the mainstream media that TRA's get.

The existence of detransitioners will be an uncomfortable reminder of the left/liberal hysteria in favour of transitioning in the first place. Detransitioners are not a sufficiently exciting new category of victims to campaign of behalf of against the bigoted masses, but rather they represent the failure of the academic/media/medical elites. Finally, there's a somewhat finite supply of detransitioners: there'll be a big wave of detrans in the next decade and then it will die down once the government start imposing more restrictions on the practices due to lawsuits mounting up. It's not something that the charity-industrial complex can milk enough to keep all it's PMC "activists" employed.

Detransitioners can't effectively be used as propaganda to smugly assert that the center-left is on the "right side of history", so they have no value as assets to the liberal media. There will be a reckoning, to be sure, but the backlash against the repressed memory craze was never as big as the original event and a lot of the worst offenders in the media got out of that scandal without any serious consequences.

When the backlash does come, I'm going to feel pretty sad for the late-trooners and for the legitimate transgender people still left by then. They're going to get smacked in the face with the consequences for all the bullshit and abusive behavior the people who are currently leading society towards Peak Trans, the lolcows being reported on and mocked in this very thread, have spent years inflicting upon others without consequence. Sure, a few high-profile troons will likely fall spectacularly, but most will escape scot-free and fade into the background noise leaving the hot potato to the new kids to handle.

I say I'm going to be sad... but let's face it, I'm still going to be laughing because you can guarantee a lot of these people are going to be taking themselves far too seriously even after it's clear they have nothing to gain.

I sympathize with the dawning horror of realization this person experienced, and at the time I am officially mad on the internet that they brought this upon themselves and also evangelized other people into the cult, too.
 
Maybe it’s because I’m normie-adjacent, but I truly cannot imagine where you all are going offline for this trans shit to be a constant conversation topic enough for anyone to even be aware of the existence of troons beyond “oh they’re boys who want to be girls”/“girls who want to be boys”. Literally everything I know about troons, I learned about it from social media because there’s where trannies seem to congregate. Most people are unaware of, or uninterested in, this tranny shit. I’ve only met 2 MtF trannies in my whole life, and both times were in INSANELY liberal spaces. Every FtM tranny I know is a young woman in her early 20s who just looks like a little girl who grew a nasty pedo-stache.

How is this a topic that everyone seems to be so fascinated by and yet uninterested in at the same time?
 
Stupid stories is actually one of the few seemingly passable as the gender they wanted to be, especially amongst the ones featured here.
Bottom surgery seems like something straight out of a horror thriller out of me, I have no idea how someone can actually opt, let alone go for one.

Irl where I live, they literally form extortion gangs. But to be fair, they are pretty different from the ones you see online.
Online, if you can frequently see them in certain communities. Hell pretty much any discord server I was active in the past had some local trans people

It also has a political element to it, since it's a really polarizing topic. I assume that's what brings in most of the discussion.

I can only give you my point of view on this. Let's see how well I can do this without PLing too hard.

The company I work for has a pretty robust IT department that I have to interact with almost daily. It's an engineering firm with a solidly "I don't know about no transgender peoples" conservative upper management, but predictably "progressive" HR.

In the past five years the IT department has had at least three MTF (that I know of) assigned to it. One is a low-key, very introverted person in their 30s who keeps to themselves and is fairly well-liked by most (me included, they bring good food at company gatherings). The other two are full dangerhair, autistic, barely-competent, pronoun-stating, trans-flag-pin-wearing, screaming-about-transphobic-coffee-cups troons. One of them has left (or was let go) already, but the other is dug in like a tick because the previous one raised such a stink when he left that management is happy to just leave the remaining one where he is.

I knew of the concept but I wasn't really aware of transgender people beforehand, but I got plenty of negative experiences having to deal with those two troons in real life. Since then I've met a few more transgender people online (as well as one more IRL). It's basically impossible not to stumble across them if you play online games at all these days. I used to play ARMA 3 a lot, and for some ungodly reason you'll find a ton of troons in a lot of popular units. My guess is that they're attracted to the autism. Thankfully most were chill if you went full "don't ask, don't tell" with them, and some even joked about being so bad at being guys they turned out to be girls. Enough of them were screeching troons that they made me realize there were bound to be more of them out there.

Then I found the farms... and the rest is history.

Your average straight person doesn’t have to worry about trannies, the social groups do not overlap. Unless they work in IT. A lot of straight people still have to misconception that trannies are gays who feel better presenting as the opposite sex and don’t think more about it. They will support trannies until you make them realize that the majority of trannies do not want to chop their dicks off. A survey in the UK had the majority of the population support trannies in sex segregated spaces until they were asked what if they still had a penis.

LGB people however have to deal with trannies everyday. AGPs and fujoshi trannies are a new phenomenon and make up the majority of the trans community. Ever since gay marriage was legalized in the US all the funding and support gays had went to straight people larping as lesbins and gay men. Women used to have a nice, comfortable space on the internet but those communities have been destroyed. Being a lesbian these days is like committing seppuku, unless you grovel at the feet of straight men in dresses prepare to have your life destroyed. You can be lesbian who likes trans people, but they will still call for blood at perceived offenses.

As for why they have such a huge presence online, a while back a trans porn actor pretty much admitted that a lot of tech dudes are chasers and fuck trannies who blackmail them.
