Its jarring to me because when Trump won the nomination, a small but passionate crowd of NeverTrumpers dug their heels in, and to this day concern troll him over shit that does not matter in any meaningful way. Meanwhile a much larger cohort fell in line and kissed the ring, but the likes of Rubio, Cruz and Huckabee didn't bullshit you into thinking they loved Trump. They respected his mandate, that's it. Whereas these pro-Bernie, pro-Warren, pro-Butt fans? They've spent the guts of a year saying how much they hate Kamala and want nothing to do with her. They've almost unanimously accepted her as the candidate-- however reluctantly-- but this won't be enough in their circles. I'm anticipating thousands of them to gaslight themselves into loving Kamala now (see: Shawn King) and doing ill-conceived headgames to make others love her too. Because they realise passion is the only thing that's gonna oust Trump so willing it into being is the only way forward absent a genuinely compelling candidate
