Lmao fuck off, the term arose because of an archetype in anime. They're called traps because their men who look like women, 99% (at least in my experience) traps in anime are not tranny's. There is no denial of their gender, they're just feminine guys.

I still don't really know why they hate it so much. It has nothing to do with troons. It probably reminds them that some of their idols such as Felix and Alfonso aren't actually troons. That and traps, despite not even trying to be women (i.e. HRT, GRS, etc.) still look way more feminine than MTF troons.

I think it has to do with expectations. At the same place I work at it's not uncommon to see like 5'5 manlet with full beard, tats, and roided muscles. It just screams over compensating and you can tell they got called tiny in highschool. I assume it's the same thing for tall men who display some feminine traits. They probably get extra shamed for "girly" habits and just assume it must be because they're actually a girl. That or just standard AGP fetishisms.

Although I've make it a point to keep up with this thread through hundreds of pages, often I find myself unwilling to read the screenshots of actual troonacy-- usually Reddit posts-- and just read the Kiwi commentary on said screenshot instead. This may seem like a diminished experience in a thread devoted to discussing said screenshots but (and I know this is an overused word on the 'net but it's the only fitting one) so many troon posts are just cringe beyond compare. This guy has his own YouTube channel I've watched the latest one (first post surgery) and the first and they're as dull as fuck so there's no way I'm faffing around archiving them. The first, about shopping in his local Aldi has a couple of moments that reassure me that Main Town USA isn't going along with any of this bullshit. Apparently Aldi have some sort of corporate policy to greet customers and add in a Sir or Ma'am at the end. The troon is of course looking for validation, so while he's waiting in line he listens to how they greet everyone else. "Good Morning, Sir", "Good Morning, Ma'am" he hears as the people in front of him get served. His turn and it's "Good Morning". No "Sir", no "Ma'am" just "Good Morning". And as he pays and leaves with his stuff, the person behind him gets a "Good Morning, Ma'am". While he's clearly within earshot. He wears a blonde wig. No "Ma'am". Full make-up. No "Ma'am". A little badge with his pronouns. No "Ma'am".

It's as if the real world doesn't give a shit about this stuff.
