Two reasons:

1. They're not the center of their wife's life anymore. Before baby, the man could count on being catered to and having his wife's attention at all times. Note that most of these guys are married to very traditional women, who were raised to put their husband first until they have children. Once the wife becomes pregnant, she starts caring for herself and her future child. She doesn't have the time and energy to cater to her husband's every whim anymore. And beyond that, people outside of the home will be paying more attention to her - she's the center of attention. She has all these doctor's appointments to go to, her relatives all want to know how she's doing and when the baby's coming, she's got baby-related shopping, she might have extended morning sickness or otherwise be ill or tired from pregnancy, and so on. In short, it goes from being all about him to all about her/the baby, and this causes narcissistic injury to the man, who reacts by doing something he feels will regain the spotlight.
2. Pregnancy is one of the biggest triggers for abusive behavior (and transition in heterosexual men often involves emotional if not physical and sexual abuse towards their female partners), because the abuser perceives his victim as "trapped" (similar triggers include moving in together or getting married). She can't easily leave him, because she's too far along for an abortion, she's going to have a baby very soon, and after she gives birth she will forever be linked to him through their child - a link she will be hard-pressed to sever given that in the US, a father's rights are considered so sacrosanct that even rapists have been able to fight for custody and/or visitation for the children of their victims (sickeningly enough). In other words, he waited until she was too far along to abort and nope out of the relationship, trusting that her inability to leave will force her to stay under conditions he knows that she would otherwise find intolerable.

Sometimes elements of both of these reasons can combine into one big mess. But generally that's why these men wait until their wives are pregnant (and too far along to abort) before they suddenly announce that they want to take their closet cross-dressing fetish public. Bonus points for all of these men knowing that there's nothing their wives can do about it without being labeled "transphobic".

I'd also add two more reasons for the pregnancy/post-partum troon outs:

1. He's likely getting laid less or not at all (especially after the birth), hence an increase in masturbation and consequently the cross dressing is going to occupy a more prominent place in his mind. Moreover, higher frequency is going to give him a greater probability of developing new perversions or extending his existing ones, i.e. maybe going from just jacking off to feminization porn to actually cross dressing or something similar. It's common in a lot of the trans widow stories for the ex-wife to talk about how their ex's behaviour gradually evolved; pregnancy likely just accelerates this evolution.​

2. I think pregnancy highlights the "special" part of being a woman, so if you're already in the throes of a fairly well developed transvestism then it may cue you into thinking more about other elements of 'being a woman'. Think pregnancy fetishisation or obsession with women's groups and the likes, all of which might help push him towards starting to treat his perversions as more than a mere fetish, and from there trooning out is a mere formality.​

I'm no medical expert so I might be entirely wrong here but I speculate those scars might be abdominoplasty/tummy tuck surgery scars, kinda matches since they go from hip to hip.

The only thing that strikes me as odd is that in his before photo he's rather lean as far as abs are concerned, so it's doesn't make sense to go for that kind of surgery. Then again you can see in the aftermath that he packed on pounds so who knows.

That was my first instinct too but it seems like the scars don't match up. Hip implant scars tend to be one single line near the hip area, not a giant one across the whole lower body.

Although to be honest his hips do look a little off to me, but being realistic it's probably both the weight gain, the weird angle (he's twisted his pose a little) and the lack of upper body muscle to contrast it with.

This is probably right an many ways - so there comes to this hypothetical question. Since traditional religions are losing power in modern day and you can't use it as a get out of jail free card, to do any degeneracy as you want with 'confidence' boost. Would troonism be the most socially valuable 'religion' to join if you feel sad about yourselves, and what would be the disadvantage? (My personal is medical complications and dependency, but I see that it isn't the value held by everyone) You don't have to be a total loser even, the benefits of being trans can be enticing to people with stable sense of self because so much gibs are being thrown at them, although people with stable sense of self would not consider transitioning in the first place.

I'm at the point of life where I can only look at this through a questioning eyes and can't go back into seeing it as a legitimate progress of discovering your 'true selves'. I believe that you can't escape your inner trouble 'forever', you'll eventually need to face your own insecurity again, trans or not. There is also a lot of parallel between body-modification scene where people who initially started it feel liberated and coming to see their 'true selves', but there has been a lot of suicide cases among big names in the scene too. but these days, a lot of cultural forces make the escapism easier than before.

Speaking of detransitioning - I have felt that a lot of them (Elle Palmer included - though to a lesser extent) I came across seem to still have some form of troubles with reality-perception, identity issues, rigid thinking and host of emotional red flags you tend to find on troon sideshows. I can understand that people who transition tend to have underlying issues that made them feel that their body should be different and found it distressing. I believe a degree of depersonalisation is also required to be trans and while they can realise that pretending to be another sex isn't working for them, the underlying issues hasn't gone away yet and that may take time and/or therapy.

They're basically transhumanists tbh. Body modification + euphoric atheism + religious-like dogma. Plus a perverted fixation on trying to disprove every binary thing.

I live in the south but on the outskirts of a blue city. Most of my encounters with troons have been black gays in the grocery store I work at. Usually either a modest blouse and jeans or full on hooker thot look. All were nice, but the height is their biggest issue (shortest I've seen was like 6'5).

The worst I've seen was two tho. A black troon that til this day can't tell if he was homeless or not. Unshaven, unkempt hair, bright pink lipstick to contrast his dark af skin. Always had the same exact ugly dress.

Second was this 20-something white troon with full on animu catgirl garb. Even had a fucking tail and trans pin. Couldn't maintain eye contact, nor said a word as I rung him up.

But overall nothing super horrific.

To be fair the scars are meant to heal away over time and it makes sense for people with really bad gunts/skin deformations or weird ab protrusions to get the surgery. In this guy's case however you're absolutely right in that it only makes him look worse than before.

Being a SJW in general is all about having a perpetual victim mentality and never taking any responsibility for one’s actions because you belong to a marginalized group that has been disenfranchised throughout history. Now, in no way is this me discounting the horrors and realities of disenfranchisement and marginalization. I’m not a particularly ~privileged~ person either (unless you count not being an insane tranny as a privilege) so I’m well-aware of how much harder the world is if you don’t have money or other privileges that make life slightly easier to live.

I agree with most of this. I'm a POC (technically) and an uber libtard and most of KF would probably disagree with my socioeconomic views but I have a lot of disdain for people who seem to solely capitalize off of being victims. Roxane Gay (not a tranny) and Laverne Cox (flaming tranny) come to mind.
Also a big reason why I have issues with the trans movement to begin with, as all of it is predicated on some manufactured victimhood. No critical analysis or intellectually honest discourse required.
