Many TIFs have a very distinct smell(like a damp dish towel left out for too long) no matter their level of hygiene, and I can't imagine most TIMs smell any better. Not a doctor, but I can't see what would cause the smell other than their self-induced hormone imbalances.

It's kind of like how you can tell when a woman who has recently given birth has been in a restroom before you got in there.
Women's restrooms in general have a slight blood smell simply because odds are SOMEONE is on their period. Men's restrooms tend to smell more like stale piss.
The "trans" smells are a whole different category.

Lack of good hygiene is a sign of severe mental health issues. I never met a really stinky person who didn’t have mental illnesses or dementia.
As for troon stories, mine is really sad. There was a patient in a psychiatric hospital that believed she was a teenage boy who is Greek despite herself being black and in her thirties. She was very detached from reality despite being medicated. She ended up inpatient because she would argue with and trash her apartment. Yes you read that right, she would get into fights with her house. She thought nothing was peculiar about this, her room just made her angry all the time.
She had hallucinations all the time, one of a pet, a girlfriend and one of a tormentor. She’d freak out other patients by yelling at her hallucination to stop raping her. The girlfriend hallucination was that of a child character from the Sand Lot 2 and she got into a fight with another patient for writing graphic stories about the character.
She is very unfit to live by herself, but without a doubt some quack would let her transition.

Is this what trannies on reddit are referring to when they claim they now “smell girly”? Reddit trannies are always bragging about their smell changing as soon as they’re like one week on HRT. Are they just finally being able to smell the stench of their own stank and they’re viewing that as a different ~womanly~ smell just like how they think that finally being able to express their emotions like a normal human being post-HRT is proof of their ~womanly~ true self coming to the surface?

I have found a weird corrolary in that all the trans people I knew grew up either hardcore Christian or hardcore Muslim. All seem to have come from old fashioned families with strict gender roles.
I also have a theory that coming out as trans allows you to re-define yourself and kinda say f-you to society. For some people, they needed this permission to stand up for themselves... and for others, it just makes them jerks.
I'm taking notes on our sample size for research. They seem to fall into some clear categories:
MTF:
- Obsessed with sex
- Probably would have just been gay if left alone
- Were bullied for being too feminine growing up
- A few just seem normal and chill?
FTM:
- Got flak growing up for being tomboys or gay
- Socially inept, shy or anxious and spend a lot of time online
- Sexually abused by authority figures growing up
- Jumped on the social justice bandwagon
NB:
- Jumped on social justice bandwagon (especially true for males in the SJW movement)
- Super into body mods, tattoos, and generally looks like a space alien

Even though all this is quite a bit of information, this person remains utterly without a unique personality. This person is a fucking mist person, a fog, a general existence with no definable aspects that you could point to as "yes, this person is a human and I see them".

Mental Illness, poor hygiene and self care go hand in hand imho. It's nothing more elaborate than that. You're talking about people who can't bear to look into a mirror unless they're having a "good" day, so naturally the bathroom is an enemy. When sanity starts slipping, a distorted self-view starts to set in, and usually it's the fundamentals that go out the window first, like brushing your teeth, eating, sleeping, etc. I'm not the least bit surprised by this, I've worked with people suffering from mental issues for a while, and this would be a common thing we'd see. Interestingly enough, if you can get people to care about themselves again, some or most of their symptoms get relief to some degree. They stink because they neglect things such as showers or wearing clean clothes. Sure, some folks are just plain slobs that don't give a shit without suffering from underlying problems, but they're the minority. Something drastic has to happen in a persons life for them to forego the basic cornerstones of normal human behavior. I'm going to argue that trooning out is a manifestation of such a drastic event, mental illness included.
At my current job, when I first started, I was in training with a dude who was in his late 30's. Pretty average guy, didn't stand out in the slightest. Fast forward 2 years where we have to go through re-training and certification again, and this dude trooned out hard, went from being Mark to Theresa. And he fucking reeks. Have you ever opened an old woman's purse or handbag and stuck your nose in there and really savored the scent? Well, it's like this but ten times worse, mixed with stanky body odor. He had three separate emotional break-downs during training, hysterical crying and everything. Now, our company is big on being PC LGBTQ whatever else friendly, which is a damn shame in my opinion. This person is not well, and if you take off the LGBTQ goggles for a second then maybe they could realize this and offer this person some help with whatever he's dealing with. But no, we just all have to be understanding and accepting and accommodating. If you looked at the situation objectively, without the tolerance glasses then it would be obvious that this person is struggling with mental health issues hard, but when you put the goggles on again, then it's just another poor trans person going through trans things and we have to accept it and can't do anything for him except letting him suffer among us and use the "correct" pronouns.

Two reasons:
- They're not the center of their wife's life anymore. Before baby, the man could count on being catered to and having his wife's attention at all times. Note that most of these guys are married to very traditional women, who were raised to put their husband first until they have children. Once the wife becomes pregnant, she starts caring for herself and her future child. She doesn't have the time and energy to cater to her husband's every whim anymore. And beyond that, people outside of the home will be paying more attention to her - she's the center of attention. She has all these doctor's appointments to go to, her relatives all want to know how she's doing and when the baby's coming, she's got baby-related shopping, she might have extended morning sickness or otherwise be ill or tired from pregnancy, and so on. In short, it goes from being all about him to all about her/the baby, and this causes narcissistic injury to the man, who reacts by doing something he feels will regain the spotlight.
- Pregnancy is one of the biggest triggers for abusive behavior (and transition in heterosexual men often involves emotional if not physical and sexual abuse towards their female partners), because the abuser perceives his victim as "trapped" (similar triggers include moving in together or getting married). She can't easily leave him, because she's too far along for an abortion, she's going to have a baby very soon, and after she gives birth she will forever be linked to him through their child - a link she will be hard-pressed to sever given that in the US, a father's rights are considered so sacrosanct that even rapists have been able to fight for custody and/or visitation for the children of their victims (sickeningly enough). In other words, he waited until she was too far along to abort and nope out of the relationship, trusting that her inability to leave will force her to stay under conditions he knows that she would otherwise find intolerable.

As I said, it's a new religion. If all you knew growing up was a religious environment with all the answers, once you come into contact with the internet and realize all those answers were hooey, there's a void that needs fulfilling. Social justice is great at that. Being worried about your soul and salvation is peanuts compared to being worried about "LITERAL NAZIS" and "TRANSPHOBES" everywhere.
And so, since they found a new religion, they are born again into it. There are far too many stories out there of people who trooned out (or just dove head-first into SJW BS) and become completely different people. And almost universally the person becomes incredibly confident at challenging their "enemies" and claims to be much happier, but is in fact a paranoid cult member reciting a mantra ("TRANS WOMEN ARE REAL WOMEN") to prevent doubt from taking hold as it did the first time they lost their religion.
