A guy I know came out recently and said he’s been on E for six months, and also that he’s felt this way since 14 (he’s 21). He’s always been effeminate and he does drag and looks decent but: he won’t pass. Being HSTS does not mean you’re going to pass. He still has very male features, the difference is he has better makeup. And yes, single mom, four kids all with different dads.

I also know an FTM who passes because he dresses like a normal skinny redneck. Most FTMs could pass (at least to those who are bad at clocking them) if they dressed normally. He’s also always clean shaven, which looks way better than the awful FTM beard.

Had an irl acquaintance troon out recently. He was originally a fairly normal and handsome young man. He started out as an overly-flirtatious bisexual guy, made lots of "joking" sexual comments towards both male and female friends, like saying he wants to sleep with straight male friends of have a threesome with couples we were acquainted with (ie. he's hit on my, my boyfriend, and talk about having a threesome with us). He was a Berniebro and communist too, antifa, the type to start arguements over politics irl, as well as a an alcoholic and pothead. Actually, after writing all that down, I realize he wasn't that normal from the start, so scratch that.
Thankfully I haven't had many irl encounters with him since he trooned out during quarantine, but online I sometimes see what he's up to, He was always very personally offended by the concept of "traps" and "futanari" and posts Astolfo/Felix memes referring to them as female, even though he's never been into anime. Also he now browses r/actuallesbians

It was probably like 6ft tall, wearing a proper gas mask that was bright green, had unwashed hair, wearing a blazer with every pride flag you could imagine on it and was giving everyone around it death stares. This person literally looked like a real life personification of anything you’d see on the SJW art thread.

Surprisingly few considering that I'm from California. Only one in my personal friend group, one in my sister's friend group, and one in a social group that I considered joining a while ago.

That last one probably had potential for laughs, but I just avoided him as much as possible because he was a Danielle Muscatto tier tranny. I overheard him talking once about micro aggressions because when he doesn't wear a dress people try to talk to him about sports. He had a buzzcut and a jaw like John Cena, but even if he looked anything like a woman there are still women who talk about sports. This was before I knew about the rampant misogyny in the trans community, but I was somewhat aware of the inherent dependence on gender roles that trans ideology relies on even if I would never dare voice this opinion.

The friend used to be a gay man, now he identifies as a lesbian. I figure that he's just chasing some other tranny. He was always an SJW and would get offended over the piddliest of shit and frankly nothing has changed since he trooned. He's completely no effort though and looks exactly as feminine as he did 5 years ago. Which, granted, is fairly feminine but still clearly male.

The one in my sister's friend group is close enough that he came to Christmas last year. I've only met him once and I'd heard some members of my family say that they wouldn't have even realized he was trans if they hadn't been told. Meeting him I have to agree, he put in so little effort that you wouldn't even know he wanted to pass as a woman. Fortunately he was quiet and I haven't met him since. He's the only one of the three that I met after I peaked and I still have no idea how anyone could ever say that they thought he was a real woman.

Honestly, he looks more like a "pretty boy" or femboy than a woman in this pic, and he normally looks like he's at least going for a female presentation. Considering he had a pretty lean, twink-y body pre-troonout, and that he had feminine features (for a man), he would stand to gain a lot from FFS. But he still doesn't pass.

Most of the hulking ogres in these threads didn't start out as skinny feminine twinks, and their features are masculine (for a man, even) - Chad body types, strong jawlines, etc. Putting such high hopes on one surgery seems like a path to failure, but they all are doing it. It's not surprising that so many are suicidal, geez.

It's no coincidence that you see the same themes of rebirth in both religious converts and troons. They're born-again transgender. Their previous flawed, sinful and repressed self is dead, and they are reborn as someone new who does what they want because that's "who they truly are", and anyone who stands in their way must be made to accept them or removed.

Trooning is a kind of circuit breaker for all that. Aside from the obligate community it gives you, it also unshackles you mentally.
Trooning out is essentially an act of fantasy play; an unjustifiable unmooring from reality as perceived by anyone else. I think the essentially delusional and self-absorbed nature of trooning out gives you a kind of internal justification to do whatever you want - just so long as it helps fulfill your inchoate fantasy of being a 'woman'.

Even relatively normal troons talk about how 'liberating' it feels to be their 'true' gender even if they don't pass at all. For example, Elle Palmer (the detrans YouTuber) said in one of her videos that when she first went on T she didn't even care if she didn't pass as a man and was just happy to simply be. That ability to just not care or simple inability to notice how you are being judged is probably therapeutic for a lot of incel-type shut ins even if it also produces a lot of the degeneracy that fills up this thread.

This is probably right an many ways - so there comes to this hypothetical question. Since traditional religions are losing power in modern day and you can't use it as a get out of jail free card, to do any degeneracy as you want with 'confidence' boost. Would troonism be the most socially valuable 'religion' to join if you feel sad about yourselves, and what would be the disadvantage? (My personal is medical complications and dependency, but I see that it isn't the value held by everyone) You don't have to be a total loser even, the benefits of being trans can be enticing to people with stable sense of self because so much gibs are being thrown at them, although people with stable sense of self would not consider transitioning in the first place.

I'm at the point of life where I can only look at this through a questioning eyes and can't go back into seeing it as a legitimate progress of discovering your 'true selves'. I believe that you can't escape your inner trouble 'forever', you'll eventually need to face your own insecurity again, trans or not. There is also a lot of parallel between body-modification scene where people who initially started it feel liberated and coming to see their 'true selves', but there has been a lot of suicide cases among big names in the scene too. but these days, a lot of cultural forces make the escapism easier than before.

Speaking of detransitioning - I have felt that a lot of them (Elle Palmer included - though to a lesser extent) I came across seem to still have some form of troubles with reality-perception, identity issues, rigid thinking and host of emotional red flags you tend to find on troon sideshows. I can understand that people who transition tend to have underlying issues that made them feel that their body should be different and found it distressing. I believe a degree of depersonalisation is also required to be trans and while they can realise that pretending to be another sex isn't working for them, the underlying issues hasn't gone away yet and that may take time and/or therapy.

In my experience, which I'll admit is pretty limited since I only encountered troons in the wild when I visited Western Yurop, it pretty much is just horrible hygiene. Hormones may also play a part, but all the smelly troons I came across that smelled awful smelled just as bad as bums back in my country.

Troons smell fucking AWFUL. It probably comes from lack of care of hygiene (the ones with actual dysphoria are too mentally ill to care about "self care," and the fetishists probably like smelling bad on some level, or just don't notice it,) and they're men. Feminine hormones or not, men don't bathe as often as women. Most men don't wash their hands after they pee (guys on here: don't lie, you know you don't.) Dicks and balls just smell bad. Not like pussies smell much better, but unless a girl is really nasty or on the gnarliest period ever, it stays inside of the minge. Most of these troons don't shave (making it harder to clean,) wear dirty laundry, keep their rooms dirty, smoke weed and cigarettes with no natural air coming through, and have bizarre kinks that make their room sweaty with leather, or worst, literal poop. They don't wash their hair and put bleach in it to hide the fact. They cake on makeup without washing their face, making it crusty.

Their grooming is autistic, because they literally are.
