She's back guys. And you definitely want to archive this video. This is going to age terribly.
"We don't even use tear gas in war. But we will use it on our own citizens. And by the way, the cops can throw it at you, but if you pick it up and throw it back at them, that's assault with a deadly weapon."
And she gives that look at the camera like "do I really have to explain it?"
Yes, June, you have to explain why you don't understand that the police have a monopoly on violence. Guess what? If I draw my gun and shoot a cop, that's also assault with a deadly weapon. But the cop can shoot me. That's how our society works. Citizens are not equals with the police, and guess what, we aren't held to the same rigorous standards either. So the cops get some freedom to use violence, but they also have a responsibility to stop others from messing with their rights.
Then later on she puts up a tweet commenting about how no one who is peaceful is stopping the rioters. No real comments there, but it flies in the face of her own point. If the protestors aren't going to stop looters and rioters, why should they be allowed to use violence against the cops? Self-defense? You don't have the right to defend yourself against a police officer, it's actually a crime in and of itself called "resisting arrest".
If we could get this through these idiots' heads, maybe there would be fewer police shootings? Do not resist arrest.
