OK, let's see how The Void reeeees back.

Zach starts by giving Rowling the consolation prize, for having created a "beautiful fantasy world" that presumably runneth over with "transcendence, imagination, [and] humanist care for the well-being of others". Unfortunately, Rowling's "transphobic" blog post has nullified everything. Setting aside the question whether the world of Harry Potter is as utopic as Zach imagines (very doubtful), it beggars belief that a "muddled, meandering, hastily-assembled essay" can have the power to totally take down seven doorstopers.

If indeed "nothing distinguishes [Rowling's essay] from the ramblings of fools I’ve taken apart countless times over the years", one wonders why Zach tackles the task of "debunking" Rowling with such gusto. Zach's own essay typifies the traits he accuses Rowling of: it is vague, strong on opinion and weak on textual evidence. However many papers Zach cites, he rarely directly addresses the concern expressed by Rowling. Zach's lack of argument is evidenced by the part he bolded: "This [Rowling's essay] is nothing short of a manifesto calling for the total nonexistence of trans people". Whenever a troon says anything about "existence", you can be sure he is engaging in emotional release rather than reasoned argument, and as such he should be ignored.

On Rowling's specific concerns, Zach first tackles the recent rise in gender-confused girls seeking "affirmative" treatment, and the concomitant rise of detransitioners. Rowling believes that these girls are simply lesbians, who are only driven to transition because of systemic homophobia. Zach cites studies from Northern Europe to contest this claim, but the research he quoted (Dhejne et al. (2014) and Wiepjes et al. (2018 ) -- the famous Amsterdam Cohort Study) covers a very long time scale (1960 onwards in the case of Dhejne), hence they do not address the concern of Rowling, which is the recent upsurge of gender-confused girls. Neither paper was specifice to FtMs, and neither investigated the reason for their transition. The only thing that might be of relevance is that detransitioners are rare, at least when the transitioning process is adequately gatekept.

Rowling may believe that detransitioning is very common, and Zach provides some reassurance that it has not been so. Still, the phenomenon of "trans kids" is very new and we don't know what kind of fuckery the NHS is doing at Tavistock, hence we have no reason to take what happened in Northern Europe to be the indication of the future.

Zach is entitled to his doubt whether homophobia (familial or social or even "internalized") can provide the impetus for transition. He provides sociological evidence that homophobia and transphobia often go hand in hand. Still, one can argue that focusing on sociological research means ignoring the "lived experience" (phenomenological) aspect of transitioning. A man who is fully convinced that he is a woman will not be hounded by internalized homophobia even if he is exclusively attracted to men. The human mind is complicated, and on the matter whether transitioning can be a response to homophobia, I'd say the jury is still out.

Rowling is alarmed by the fact that, over the years, there has been a rise in the proportion of FtMs among troons. Zach glibly dismisses her legitimate worry, claiming there is no such thing as a "right ratio". Still, any drastic change in ratio or raw case numbers (especially a 44-fold increase) is a reason for investigation. One cannot simply dismiss it as "case numbers vary with time and it is the way it is". There is no "right" number for the incidence of cancer either, but I bet a 44x rise in lung cancer within a community will make the news.

Finally, Rowling points out how children on the autistic spectrum are "hugely over-represented" among young FtMs. Zach corrects Rowling's "hugely over-represented" among young FtMs to "an elevated prevalence" among troons of all flavors, while he, again, dismisses her concern with "So what?". "Rowling insinuates this is yet another cause for concern", Zach says, "again without bothering to explain why that would be so." One will never be able to explain "why that would be so" if one simply shoots down every uncomfortable question with "So what?". It is trivial to say, as Zach does, that "autistic people can be trans and trans people can be autistic", but this is not the thing we are interested about: we want to know why trans people are more likely to be autistic!

Did I say Finally? There are actually a Book 2 and a Book 3! I've enough of this shit for the time being.

I guess Zach thinks that, as a big-brained academic, he can dictate what should be dismissed as unimportant. Personally, I think the question of the overlap between autism and transgender people is hugely important. As a man with a nonfunctional dick, Zach is well aware of the effects of hormones, and should oppose the notion of giving them to people who aren’t actually trans.

God, I'd hate for any of these joyless fucks to discover that their favorite classic literature was written by assholes.

Oh wait, none of them have ever read classic literature. You'd think Shakespeare would be right up Zin's alley with all the shitty Elizabethan dick jokes. (But he also made "~r*pe~" jokes & WE CAN'T HAVE THAT NOW CAN WE)

Wow, no comment from Zinnia on this horrible ableist joke? How dare.

He's done this so often before. Fucker just can't help himself taking jabs at the woman :story:

"Took heather out of the house today and everyone thought she was a Lovecraftian beast and I a highschool girl she kidnapped! :smug: "

I guess it is possible that he is dressed so inappropriately for his age that someone thinks surely this cannot be a functional adult. And since they don't want to ask if Zach is a retard sibling, they just go with daughter because that is less likely to offend. Or maybe it's the fact that he shows zero affection towards her and seems sullen and bored like a teenager while he's with her.

It is interesting that NO ONE ever thinks Zach could be the wife. I bet that's because no one finds him sexy or attractive enough to imagine that anyone would actually be married to him. Not even Heather. Think about that. No one can even imagine that Heather would be attracted to Zach.

It's not a compliment. It's actually an insult.
There is no way any of those are true. How many of you have been out with your actual parent and had some ask if you were their child? I can't think of it happen in anytime after being 18.
Personally, my husband is significantly older then me and despite the fact I regularly get carded, no one have ever asked or assumed I was his daughter.

Theonly situation I can see it happening is if Zinnia was acting like a loud inappropriate sped in public (as Heather has complained about) and someone asked them to control their "daughter".

I'm so smol, Heather is giant.

Heather definitely looks old enough to have a 30 year old child, so I can see it happening once or twice. No way is it happening all the time though, and when it does happen it's because Heather looks old, not because Zinnia looks young.
I was once told that people tend to gauge a woman's age based on breast size. I was a precocious kiddo who developed early, so I always got clocked as being much older than I was. (Thankfully this evened out a little in my twenties.)

So I got some bad news for you, ZinZin. You're not the fresh, youthful little daisy you think you are. It's just your front is as flat as your back. (I've unfortunately seen most of the nudes you've posted.)

Credit where credit's due, staying natural is a lot better than getting those grotesque bolt-on aging pornstar titties a lot of camwhore troons get.

I'm taking a peep at Dhejne et al. (2014) and I notice this:
664.png
It took a minimum of 3 years for a Sweden troon to get the chop. I wonder what will Zach say about this. The same paper also cites a regret rate of about 2% for both MtF and FtM, quite a bit higher than the Amersdam Cohort (0.6% MtF and 0.3% FtM). It should be noted that the Sweden study defines "regret" as legal application for reversal to the original sex, while the Amersdam Cohort does not define "regret" at all.

As a budding statistician, Zach should have convinced us with p-values. Although I can't quite imagine how would one manage to get a non-significant p-value when there is a 44x increase in prevalence.

Now, Book 2.

Book 2 is a rehash of his attack on Lisa Littman. Rowling cited Littman and thus gives Zach an opportunity to revisit old feud. Unlike Zach, there is no emotional payoff for us to retread old grounds, but here's a summary about what gives Zach ballyhoos.

1. Zach thinks that by propose a new catagory call "Rapid Onset Gender Dysphoria" without once meeting a patient with this alleged condition, Littman has made an methodological error. I can't see how it is so, and I can't see why Zach is so sure that Littman has never met one patient with supposed ROGD.

2. Zach believes Littman has disregarded volumes of literature. So far, so McKinnon, but Zach gave it an autistic twist:

Littman’s approach, disregarding this extensive body of literature in order to construct a timeline of gender identity development in perhaps the most deficient and unsuitable way possible, is akin to skipping to the end of Deathly Hallows and exclaiming “Wow, that came out of nowhere!”
The paper Zach cites (1, 2, 3, 4) point to the onset of gender dysphoria being early. Unfortunately, Littman was not studying "Early Onset Gender Dysphoria"! All the papers are silent about the rate of development; they don't answer Littman's question, so she is justified to investigate it herself.
3. Zach rightly points out that Littman has only studied parental perception, rather than that of the kids, and by doing so might have introduced bias in her study. This is something Littman freely acknowledged, and in her defense, ROGD kids are motivated to lie and, as Littman discovered, are taught to do by their internet peers. Indeed, it is fortuitous that Littman studied the parents first: by finding what they know about the kids' behavior, she can take precautions when she has the opportunity to do a study on kids.

4. While the sole focus on parents is a major weakness in Littman's study, Zach is being absurd in dismissing, without justification, that "Littman has actually written a paper about the anxiety of parents who question an open approach to transgender care." His criticism -- that parents can't be relied on to tell the truth -- is ironic given the volumes of paper he cites about the "timeline of gender identity development" (See Point 2) are all wholesale, uncritical acceptance of troons' stories.

5. Littman is being cavalier in assigning cause and effect. That “multiple friends and even entire friend groups became transgender-identified at the same time” does not invariably point to social contagion (although it sure is redolent of it). The cause-effect relationship ought to be a subject of further studies, which Zach and his cavalcade of trans harpies are trying their utmost to prevent.

6. Zach thinks Littman had appropriated his genderanalysis blog post without giving him credit, and wrongly dismissed his "depersonalization" as "vague and nonspecific" symptoms. This is a fucking boring story the first time I told it, and I've told it too many times already. This part, understandably, constitutes the bulk of the essay.

+ + + +

Rowling claims that Lisa Littman has suffered the same fate as Maya Forestater. I'm not aware of it.

Zach dismisses Rowling own literature research:

How is it that after spending years reading up on these topics, she has only a handful of the same bombastic and long-debunked claims to show for it, and no familiarity with the vast body of data which shows exactly why these talking points are wrong? What was she reading – the Daily Prophet?
As you can see in my analysis of Book 1, Zach never successfully debunked a single claim by Rowling, save perhaps "detransitioning is common". If Rowling has been reading bad papers, I can't imagine Zach having studied anything better. At the end of Book 2, Zach challenges Rowling's claim that "studies have consistently shown that between 60-90% of gender dysphoric teens will grow out of their dysphoria." Rowling might have lifted this from the controversial figure James Cantor. Cantor might have a deplorable view on pedophilia, but he is a clinician who has seen gender-confused kids, and his professional opinion should not be dismissed without justification. Other researchers have cited similar rates. I won't dismiss the lowball figure (45%) Zach cites out of hand, but Rowling clearly knows what she is talking about and, by claiming otherwise, Zach is almost on the territory of libel.

Zach, at least invest a little more time in this so-called answer to Jo and write a whole book to sell it for $5 to help the household. I mean, aren't you an expert? You probably have a so much knowledge about this.

It's obvious that you don't care about money. I enjoy writing too, but my first priority is to be PAID for my writing. Otherwise, I can't feed my family. There are so many different publications that can pay you, even $10 for an article related to trans-issues. You don't need to move your loose ass from your home to do this, come on. Jee, what a fucker.

It's extremely telling (and predictable) that ever since Zach's parasitic host managed not to die, instead of talking about finding a job or caring for Heather, he's instead wasting time screaming at a billionaire for clout and asspats.

LOL. I have no doubt that JK has that chasm-assed troon on mute. Keeping REEEing into void while Rowling sleeps comfortably on a bed of money in her mansion, Zach. I'm sure that'll pay the bills and feed the kids you love (to walk in on) so much.

"My friend Chelsea Manning"
ZJ's closest approach to mainstream fame, Rolling Stone article and all.
Second closest approach is denunciation fodder for Tucker Carlson.

All else is internet dramatics.

Well that's more than I can claim. ;)

Edited to add:

No matter how consequential one may be in real life (for example multimillionaire author of world famous children's books) every passing jadrool is your equal on Twitter check mark or no.

And yes that even applies to the shitposter-in-chief who I will leave discreetly unnamed.

A very "democratic" medium that way, censorship notwithstanding. 8)

It really is just an uninteresting jeremiad of the same old TRA talking points. Take shady studies and re-interpret the unreliable results through the tranny lens, and deny the obvious trend of kids getting peer-pressured and groomed into transition while repeating "Doesn't look like anything to me" like some Westworld robot.

Zach doesn't even add any original arguments or thoughts of his own. As a supposed author, he should be embarassed that any of his fellow comrades could've recited the same mindless wall of text. I don't know how you can puke 10,000 words and not add a dash of your own arguments or character besides salt.

In response to Zach’s long and scholarly rebuttal of Rowling’s article, I would say: how’s the job search going, Zach?
Zach is unemployable and I would not have sex with him.

So, Heather is having a mini breakdown over her health situation. On her list of worries #1 is income (the other 2 are how long she has to live and how will she know she is having another episode). So, Zach is not going to step up to take that stress off of her. She's also worried that she might have covid because there were 4 people with it when she was in line to get a CT scan. She's got 11 days to see if she'll get symptoms. She's pretty convinced she's going to die from it.

She did thank Zach and her mom for taking care of her. Thinking it is mostly mom doing the work. At least someone is cleaning the house, then. Imagine having a full time job, your own home to take care of, and still being able to help your daughter out more than her unemployed spouse who has all the time in the world to take care of his sick wife.

I am (predictably) disappointed. I knew this would happen. Get a fucking job, Zinnia.

A reminder of the number of businesses within walking/bus distance from Zach:

McDonald’s, Carrabba’s, Five Guys, Outback, Taco Bell, GameStop, Starbucks, Pizza Hut, Chick-Fil-A, Fresh Market, Publix, WalMart Market, Walgreens, CVS, Hobby Lobby, Ulta, Planet Smoothie, HomeGoods, Party City, Five Below, Panera, and Chipotle

It's not at all unusual for studies that look at minors to interview or survey the parents rather than (just) the minors themselves. Zach must've not read a lot of studies if he thinks this approach is out of the ordinary. Says a lot about his own lack of exposure to actual research methods and his noted tendency to nitpick and cherrypick whatever fits his narrative.

He should definitely go for GameStop. He could be the "It's Ma'am" on the other side of the counter. Walgreens and CVS might give him the opportunity to steal some real tiddie skittles. Party City would also be a good fit because he looks like he's wearing a costume most of the time. Can't see any food places except for McDs being desperate enough to hire him. People don't want someone like Zach having unsupervised access to their food.

The next paper littman published demonstrated that the use of methodology in her first paper is completely standard. There are other studies that claim positive outcomes from transitioning children that use the exact same methodology, and we all know zach would never dismiss them out of hand.

She is studying detransitioners right now, by the way. She has to screen people and get personal info because troons tried to sabotage the study of this "uncommon" phenomenon, they are scared shitless about what it going to be uncovered by speaking to detransitioners.

Party City has helium cylinders you can use to permanently deprive yourself of oxygen. I'd recommend that one.

Remember how he said he'd be getting a gofundme up to help with expenses and what they'd need? Well, I have definitely seen people put up GFMs in less than a week. Zach has had plenty of time to write "novelette length" screeds, but none to write up his wife's condition and solicit a bit of assistance. ANY work for pay is too much work. Leave him alone, mommy, he's got very important internet business to attend to.

He wants to wait to set up a funeral gofundme. That way Hagrid can’t steal any of Zach’s money for the kids.
