Chantal is like those sad schmucks who were nobodies in high school and then spend the rest of their lives trying to prove that people were wrong about them, even though everyone else has long moved on with their lives. And even if they somehow succeed and try to rub it in their former bullies’ faces, all they get is “Oh, cool. Good for you. You were always the smart kid.” And then spend the rest of their lives drinking themselves to sleep because th reaction didn’t live up to their demented expectations.

Of course Peetz isn't vegan, being vegan requires effort, discipline and some basic cooking skills, so he'll never do it.
