Jeff Bezos is rich, but why do people always expect billionaires or successful people, in general, to help out? If Chantal or Peetz were billionaires, would they invest their money into helping people? Perhaps, but Jeff Bezos has been donating his money as well (even if people don't deem it as a lot). Furthermore, Jeff Bezos net worth might be worth a trillion dollars, but that doesn't mean he has a trillion dollars worth of liquid assets (such as cash) on hand either. Net worth literally means the assets that you own or control minus the liabilities that you owe, right? Jeff Bezos clearly is worth a lot, because his assets (Amazon inventory, his warehouses, etc.) are worth a lot of money itself. He is helping out when he can, but I don't think a person who owns such a large corporation would ever invest $3 billion dollars towards a cause. That's just absurd.
Yes, people should hold Bezos accountable for the working conditions, underpaying his employees, cutting employee benefits, etc., but that's a separate matter entirely. Peetz literally began his argument by saying how he's the first trillionaire and he could use his capital to help solve climate change.
Plus, what if every person (who is financially stable) in the world donated $10 or $20 dollars (or more) towards a climate change action plan, then I think we would probably end up raising a lot of funds to help out, right? But, lazy and broke people like Peetz and Chantal always blame the wealthy rich but never take action into their own hands either. They complain and complain, but are never at the forefront for any good initiatives in their community.
When the Occupy Wall Street Movement was happening, did Peetz and Chantal protest? Were they ever an advocate for any social cause? No. The most Chantal did was try to raise awareness of the harmful effects of meat consumption, but even she ended up reverting back to her old ways. The last people in society who will ever have a positive impact in society are people like Peetz and Chantal.
Peetz stated, "He's exploiting his workers," which is true, but we live in a capitalistic society where you have to exploit others in order to become wealthy (as sad as that is). Don't hate the player, hate the game, and if you want to be outraged but then sit on your ass and continue to play video games and make cat videos all day long, then you're apart of the problem.
EDIT: Also, whenever Peetz goes on his long-winded rants, Chantal checks out. She kind of reminds me of a mom who would say, "Oh that's nice sweetie" when their kid is going on and on about a butterfly that they were trying to catch or something. lol

I really hope she does fix herself this time. But I doubt she will. Honestly, being morbidly obese literally makes you a worse person, clinically. The fat around your lungs slightly depresses them which makes them send constant stress messengers to your brain, which is why so many morbidly obese people are, ironically enough, extremely thinned skinned. And the lack of dopamine from exercize and sunlight makes you more depression-prone and self centered. It's biological. So maybe, just maybe, if she finally takes this seriously and learns some discipline she can really change for the better. But I know expecting that is the most rainbows thing in the world so I won't set myself up for disapointment. Protip chantal: don't start celebrating until the end of the first week, and don't give yourself pats in the back until the first month. Because weightloss isn't linear, it has ups and downs as you loose and gain water and musclemass and do better some days than others. Celebrating after 1 day is incredibly irresponsible.

Watermelon has sugar. Sugar causes positive neural signals. Positive neural signals make you want to drink more. This is why watermelon seems more hydrating than regular water. It's also why sugar drinks are so popular. This is nutrition 101. I won't blame her for wondering these things aloud. Having doubts is the first step to knowledge after all. But this one was easy.
