To all the people on the DSP subreddit and elsewhere, “upset” that Phil had his debt discharged, please stop. I’m so sick of these people wanting Phil to fail, some actually want him to be homeless and suffering, and then be upset when he pulls through (as they should have expected based on his history). Re-listening to the differences, pros and cons between a chapter 7 vs 13 (because I can't remember everything). Guy I'm listening to is going over the worst aspect of Chapter 7 - forced liquidation of assets. IDK how it works, but is there any possibility his shit might be liquidated? It was swapped to an asset case iirc.

Also, there is the public record aspect. This will never go away, especially for someone with Phil's profile. He will forever be known as that pathetic loser who maxed out how many credit cards and had to declare Chapter 7 at 38 because he sucks at finance and got addicted to a sweaty wrestler version of candy crush.

It's still possible something amusing happens in the liquidation, but I'm kind of numb and not expecting anything. Anything not involving losing the WAkondo is still a huge win for Phil. I may be rainbow, but I don't think today has any effect on if Phil loses his condo or not. Phil won avoiding to pay a lot of his credit card debt, which he really has many times over in interest because he's an idiot that only pays his minimums.

Since it's an asset case, Nancy can still take the condo. She'll basically have to if she wants anything of value, like you say.
