Just had a thought: What if the court did this because they deduced that if they threw it out like they had the ability to (I refuse to believe they were incompetent enough to not recognize his grift), Phil was just going to immediately re-apply, and they want him off the docket for at least a few years?

The court can dismiss with prejudice & impose a long waiting period on refiling if it's a really egregious abuse and they chose not to do that here. I think what happened here was that Nancy couldn't show the expense claims were so fraudulent that it warranted a dismissal, and from there the creditors just did not care enough to fight it either. The exact wording in the bankruptcy code is basically "debts will be discharged unless someone cares enough to prove the filing is false" so the burden of proof was on them from the second Phil filed.

I can't get mad at Phil. The fact that his inhuman luck allows him to dodge all consequences is goddamn amazing. It's like a Fallout character with 10 in Luck and 1 in all other stats blundering his way through the game.
For all the people angry that Phil is a goddamn chad who can get away with everything, be grateful that Phil is incompetent and his malice is of the petty kind. Anyone with Phil's luck and competence would be goddamn terrifying.
Well he's basically an overpowered anime character at this point.

I think what happens is that if you're an average person and you fuck up the system slaps you and you don't do it again.

On the other hand, if you constantly fuck up then the slapping stops because 'the system' is made up of people and a lot of those people will be put in a situation where they have discretion. If you're very obviously hapless then that will start to work in your favor.

I bet in this case the judge saw Phil being hapless, a bunch of idiots had called into the creditors meeting and the judge decided to cut Phil some slack just to piss off said idiots.

NOT YET DPS!

I feel like if a normal person had the luck DSP has had then they'd be Jeff Bezos or at least be in a comfortable, happy place in their life.

The fact he has had the most luck ever documented and all he has to show for it is 4th place at EVO and a Chapter 7 bankruptcy is testament to what an incredible fuck up he is.

Never doubt a lolcow’s ability to survive.

How could she not do that when he didn't lay out those expenses in enough detail for the 5k figure to make sense?

You missed this

I assume there are hundreds of songs with similar titles that Phil could use as his entrance music from now on

Never underestimate just how much weaponized autism pisses off a normie on the receiving end of it, and consider just how much detracting Nancy was personally exposed to
