I'd say most of us have been wanting the DSP saga to end in some sorta blaze of glory, this looked like the best shot at getting that.Yes and it existed before Phil and will continue existing after Phil.
What will also exist is Phil's total inability to not ruin his own life regardless of how many bones he's thrown.
So.... Why are you so upset?
the thing is, he DOESN'T need bankruptcy. he's LITERALLY using it to scam the govt into paying his debts for him. he can easily pay off all his debts in a few years without even changing his standard of livingIf you invest so much importance on a man getting banktupry as a 'win' instead of laughing at him for needing bankruptcy in the first place, you need some fresh air.

If Dave gets this discharge then it's gonna be a slow burn as Dave's paypigs slowly leave him, moving onto new streamers to whale for. Then ya basically get the Spoony situation where it's just a long, pathetic, and drawn out race to the bottom. Though at least with Spoony there's always the small glimmer of hope that he could finally get his shit together and start making good content again. Dave has never changed and never will, it's just gonna be a slow descent with no hope of return.

Agreed. If this truly is the end of the bankruptcy saga, I really don't have any reason to keep following Phil. I'll wait until he does something else to screw his life up before I get interested again.Echoing other people, I feel a little bit salty about these results. Well, that means I need to step away from monitoring Phil for a while. Too invested. See you guys down the line.
Right, Phil will lose fans through this outcome. A lot of his so-called fans and maybe even whales were probably hoping for a bankruptcy disaster just for the drama aspect, and if it doesn't happen, they'll probably also become disinterested and leave. There's really no other reason to watch Phil other than for the drama. Just hitting the tips goal causes Phil to lose 100-200 viewers, how much will having the bankruptcy saga end cost him?If Dave gets this discharge then it's gonna be a slow burn as Dave's paypigs slowly leave him, moving onto new streamers to whale for.
Because personal accountability and responsibility should count for something. This is someone who brazenly borrowed money without ever intending to fully pay it back and he’s being rewarded for it.
I thought bankruptcy was supposed to teach you a hard lesson in life: play stupid games with your finances and some of the most important aspects of building your life, win stupid prizes. Or at least, be taught a lesson in that you should have to give up some of your possessions to repay what you owe.
But I learned a lesson today: apparently, I can decide to stop paying my CCs one day because I’m just sick of paying them; decide to absolve myself of any commitments I’ve made to any financial institutions; falsify the paperwork that I submit when I want to have those debts discharged; hide cash assets in multiple online accounts that I own; and get away completely scotfree. That’s the lesson that Phil taught us all today.
He once again proves that justice or karma are hollow concepts that have no basis in reality. Bad things happen to good people all the time and great things happen to bad people on a consistent basis.
There’s nothing left to laugh at. This parasite is going to win for the rest of his life and live comfortably when he has no right to do so.
If you were personally involved and foolish enough to lift a pinky finger and intervene at all in this, you deserve to be upset.do the people who said: "dont intervene, just let the ship crash on its own" feel stupid yet?
Only the ones on the current IRS payment plan. Any he put on credit cards are discharged. If he put them on the Chase cards, there is a specific line to note that on the Chase filings and they didn't.For anyone bummed about this, just remember that there are two absolutes in life: death and taxes.
Phil isn't getting THOSE debts discharged.
As for a slow burn, maybe, unless the Grim Reaper has other plans...
