I misunderstood. Damn shame. He needs to have a class on how to hide money.

I mean the bankruptcy still confirmed Phil managed to dig a 500k deep hole (now a 350kish deep hole) while making money hand over fist for years and now a very respectable Seattle area income.

Thankfully he moved to one of the biggest COL areas in the country so even racking in twitch bucks he's still only making ends meet at an median seattle income.

I can't see him suddenly developing frugality now.

Maybe this is the chance he needs to unfuck his life not paying massive minimums and fines every single month. Maybe he'll grow up a little bit.

Or maybe he'll take out a shitton of shiny new credit cards sent to him in the mail....

Yes and it existed before Phil and will continue existing after Phil.

What will also exist is Phil's total inability to not ruin his own life regardless of how many bones he's thrown.

So.... Why are you so upset?
I'd say most of us have been wanting the DSP saga to end in some sorta blaze of glory, this looked like the best shot at getting that.

If Dave gets this discharge then it's gonna be a slow burn as Dave's paypigs slowly leave him, moving onto new streamers to whale for. Then ya basically get the Spoony situation where it's just a long, pathetic, and drawn out slide to the bottom. Though at least with Spoony there's always the small glimmer of hope that he could finally get his shit together and start making good content again. Dave has never changed and never will, it's just gonna be a slow descent with no hope of return.

If you invest so much importance on a man getting banktupry as a 'win' instead of laughing at him for needing bankruptcy in the first place, you need some fresh air.
the thing is, he DOESN'T need bankruptcy. he's LITERALLY using it to scam the govt into paying his debts for him. he can easily pay off all his debts in a few years without even changing his standard of living

Does any cow ever actually have a hollywood ending? By the time you fuck up long enough to get a thread here (let alone an entire subforum) you've proven resilent enough to last.

Hell, fuckin Amberlyn is still going strong and that cunt does nothing but eat the total dietary requirements of a third world country every month.

If hambeasts can't even eat themselves to death in a timely manner what hope do we have of cows like Phil/Boogie/etc causing real fireworks.

Phil is gonna be a sad sideshow for me to laugh at until he dies. He's gonna stream into his late 60s always just managing to scrape by, miserable and surlier by the year.

Because personal accountability and responsibility should count for something. This is someone who brazenly borrowed money without ever intending to fully pay it back and he’s being rewarded for it.

I thought bankruptcy was supposed to teach you a hard lesson in life: play stupid games with your finances and some of the most important aspects of building your life, win stupid prizes. Or at least, be taught a lesson in that you should have to give up some of your possessions to repay what you owe.

But I learned a lesson today: apparently, I can decide to stop paying my CCs one day because I’m just sick of paying them; decide to absolve myself of any commitments I’ve made to any financial institutions; falsify the paperwork that I submit when I want to have those debts discharged; hide cash assets in multiple online accounts that I own; and get away completely scotfree. That’s the lesson that Phil taught us all today.

He once again proves that justice or karma are hollow concepts that have no basis in reality. Bad things happen to good people all the time and great things happen to bad people on a consistent basis.

There’s nothing left to laugh at. This parasite is going to win for the rest of his life and live comfortably when he has no right to do so.

Echoing other people, I feel a little bit salty about these results. Well, that means I need to step away from monitoring Phil for a while. Too invested. See you guys down the line.
Agreed. If this truly is the end of the bankruptcy saga, I really don't have any reason to keep following Phil. I'll wait until he does something else to screw his life up before I get interested again.

If Dave gets this discharge then it's gonna be a slow burn as Dave's paypigs slowly leave him, moving onto new streamers to whale for.
Right, Phil will lose fans through this outcome. A lot of his so-called fans and maybe even whales were probably hoping for a bankruptcy disaster just for the drama aspect, and if it doesn't happen, they'll probably also become disinterested and leave. There's really no other reason to watch Phil other than for the drama. Just hitting the tips goal causes Phil to lose 100-200 viewers, how much will having the bankruptcy saga end cost him?

Phil likes to talk about karma coming to get his detractors, but how about him getting karma for scamming the bankruptcy system so he can spend thousands of dollars on mobile gacha? Does he not think this will come back to get him one day?

There may be silver lining down the road, but for now, I'd say the best plan is to take a break from Phil.

Wow what an upset. The pigroach needed a pandemic to be washed of his debts and he got it.

What does Phil actually own. He doesn't own his condo. He doesn't own his car. He owns a couple consoles.

Phil is ghetto rich as fuck. He's probably paid double to the banks what he ever spent on those cards by now.

He's not scamming bankruptcy, its working as intended. You're mad because Phil is a bad person, and that's fair. But nobody should care about Phil. The universe doesn't give a fuck about the gouthermit who managed to spend hundreds of thousands to own less possessions than the vast majority of the country.

The man didn't buy a mansion and ferrari. He didnt rack up CCs touring the world, seeing the sites.

Phil isn't 'winning' by getting his bankruptcy. Its a bankruptcy. Any banktuptcy is already a loss.

If I've learned anything from the farms, it's that any legal judgement involving someone who has a thread here always winds up in favor of the cow...

Unless they blatantly committed a heinous sex crime that can be proven in court like Nick Bates and the Zoosadists.

Nancy could still come along with the hail Mary and restore some justice, but I can't deny I'm pretty salty about it. Currently feels like sitting in a courtroom and watching someone you know is guilty walk free on a technicality. But no matter what the outcome of this saga is, remember he's still a pathetic loser with no friends, a sham marriage, a gambling addition, an internet laughing stock, stuck doing a job he hates for people he hates and is only ever one medical issue or Twitch ban away from complete ruin.

You know for half a second I actually thought the US legal system could do something right. That's what I get for putting faith in the government tbh.

Fuck it: Congrats Phil. Inb4 you fuck up.

To all the angry kiwi's don't forget this:

DSP got publicly embarrassed in a court of law in which we were able to savor his ridiculous answers so much that it sounded like a prestream

DSP can still lose assets, he has a crippling gambling addiction, and is in a loveless marriage.

As sad as I am about the whimpering end of the Bankruptcy Saga he hasn't really won anything. he's still got no long term retirement savings and more than likely he will be back in this exact same position in a couple years time.

do the people who said: "dont intervene, just let the ship crash on its own" feel stupid yet?
If you were personally involved and foolish enough to lift a pinky finger and intervene at all in this, you deserve to be upset.

Envy or anger or anything else over this whatever the outcome which might consume energy is a complete waste. If you were hoping for Phil to grovel and cry on stream or freak out or an hero, you were mistaken because he's far too prideful for any of that. If you were thinking he'd hang up and go away if he lost his house, you were similarly mistaken because he's too lazy to do anything else with his life and he knows people will continue to be the organ grinder to his monkey. The only thing the worst possible judgment against him would've changed is that maybe some onlookers would feel a sense of secondhand justice or schadenfreude.

But we all know chasing those things is a waste of time, too, don't we?

However this turns out, it isn't worth your personal investment. It just isn't. Phil is a shithead who has always and will forever continue to run his own life aground. That's why we're all here, to stand by and watch it happen. Not to see any sort of high-minded just desserts. We just want a good laugh, and Phil will continue to provide them.

Most cows don't get grand comeuppances. It's what part of makes them cows. Expecting or hoping for it, when you could be doing any small thing which makes you better than any of them, is pissing time and energy down the drain.

For anyone bummed about this, just remember that there are two absolutes in life: death and taxes.

Phil isn't getting THOSE debts discharged.

As for a slow burn, maybe, unless the Grim Reaper has other plans...
Only the ones on the current IRS payment plan. Any he put on credit cards are discharged. If he put them on the Chase cards, there is a specific line to note that on the Chase filings and they didn't.

As much as he will claim this to be a victory, the truth of the matter is, he is as monetarily bankrupt now as he is as a person.
