Dox do not generally get deleted and if someone does do that, they get undeleted and whoever did it gets banned either way.

A little. But its kinda blunted by the fact all of these things are because someone directly fucked with people to make them boot Phil.
It's not like he got in a fight with Stu because the bankruptcy meant he was only good for B team whaling and Phil demanded he be shown respect for 'contributing'.
Or someone on the second guild going ITS THE GUY and laughing at him and Phil leaving in embarassment.
Someone directly fucking with OTHER PEOPLE so Phil gets the boot is lame. It's a chuckle because Phil's mad, not a solid laugh because Phil's detracting himself.

We missed out on much better amusement. Phil eventually would have either spent himself into a hole to keep up appearances or posted some salt rant like he did about Machinima and left himself when he decided Uselessness didnt deserve him.

Honestly, doxing the Uselessness leader was a shitty thing to do. He didn't care about Phil, he was only "protecting" him because Phil's wallet was useful for his faction to succeed. All these middle-aged men wasting thousands on a shitty Bejeweled clone are hiding skeletons. He didn't want to know Phil was some streamer or anything about him.
It fucked over Phil so I'm not going to pretend to care, but just saying that this crossed the line.

So Stu only kicked DSP out because of the doxing and because Nigel promised him he would remove the dox? I knew someone who ran a WWE Champions guild would be stupid but he must be medically impaired to have believed that.

People haven't stopped fucking with Uselessness since we found out Phil was a member.
There were like seriously 40 some people with used a discord link to join the server and hit the place up before getting kicked.
I assume Stu just figured that Nigel et all weren't there for him personally so booting Phil saves them a lotta time and effort and keeps them from getting fucked with (hopefully, continuing to mess with some normie whales is shitty) so its him or everyone else.
Uselessness is like 200+ people apparently (they have a full guild and backup guild, both capped out at 100/100 iirc) so keeping Phil around isnt worth the hassle when internet strangers are threatening to dox/harass people just for sharing the discord.

I'm finding the community discussion on where the line is and why as far as ops go almost as fascinating as the original show. It seems a fair chunk of people are happy to observe from a distance and enjoy the results of the ops, while also not condoning them. Personally i think it depends how the dox discussion came about. Like if it were:
"Hey man - i've got this info I can dox you. the only reason I'd do it is because of your connection to this vile person who I consider to be fair game. That connection being you are head of a guild which benefits directly from his deception of vulnerable people who he begs ostensibly for grocery money but really to whale out, indulging on a mobile game and propping up your guild. If you severed that connection I wouldn't feel the need to publish, just giving you the option". I can see a lot of journalists doing something similar, and personally wouldn't consider it extortion. The public good argument for publication is lost if the group severs the connection I guess.
It would be different to a threat like "if you don't ostracise this person this then I will X", which i think is very bad.

Ah okay....I guess its the right thing to do although this certainly won't save us when the SJWs finally manage to get the authorities to shut this place down.

I think the line is its fine that he doxed and its fine if he told the guy to fuck with dsp but combining the two into a conditioned offer wasn't cool. Its the blackmail part thats verboten. Not just for the Gatchaking's sake but the information flow into the farms is also 'sacred' and you shouldn't try to tamper with its integrity by offering to manipulate it.
I hope Nigel gets another chance though a man's entitled to a few little mistakes.

Bring Phil down. If anything I hope he gets caught by 'the law' for avoiding taxes as well as scamming handicapped people. Dox the people who tip him in his streams, stop giving him money! The whole reason he survives is because people keep giving him money.
