Victor Mignogna v. Funimation Productions, LLC, et al. (2019) - Vic's lawsuit against Funimation, VAs, and others, for over a million dollars.

No, but his bills show he'd been mostly paid, anyways. $115k should get him fully paid or very close.
Who the hell paid him? Did MoRon actually dig into their pockets? Because as fun as it is to think that Funi paid him, it is still only speculation, fueled by the hilarious failure to redact their Funi's name from the client listing.

I think at this point all I really want is to see hoes mad.
Vic getting his job/reputation back is a long shot if at all. His best bet is going his own way and starting a business of his own. Even then I dunno.

For the defendants and their supporters I just wanna see em squirm.

I do think it'll get interesting around here, since I think people around here are way more invested in one side than the other, and are going to go into the appeal expecting far more than they probably should be. Like the COA is gonna ride in on white horses, say that Chupp is a total idiot, tell Lemione to fuck off and let every cause of action through. I get the feeling people are going to see the appellate court dismiss some of the causes of action and start screaming bloody murder. Which, y'know, will be entertaining and all, but still.
Slightly optimistic, but if it comes back from appeals, I'm seeing MoRon hit with all causes. The Slatosch declaration is by itself a one-stop shop for every single cause of action. They claimed Vic would be criminal investigation for assault (defamation), they pressured Slatosch into breaching (TI-EC), they urged Slatosch to not invite Vic in the future (TI-PBR), and they did so while communicating together (conspiracy).

Funimation is probably nailed for defamation and civil conspiracy. Maybe vicarious liability if they can't sort out the whole contractor/employee thing. Don't see either TI sticking.

Jamie might also be hit for defamation and civil conspiracy. Don't think we have much hard evidence of either TI with her.

It doesn't say who paid, but if you look at Rial/Toye's Motion (p. 158 ), JSL's firm had been paid $106k out of $186k the firm had billed as of November 3.

Can anybody confirm if Lemon fuhrer's pants are like this?

Yea for Jamie it boils down to how bad was it that Johnson said her tweet was a "fact finding issue" and how hard BHBC pushes for that. They are only allowed so many pages and its 3 defendants so may have to cut things here and there.

Hey Lemoine i know you're watching this thread

I am now laughing at you double, you didn't get the money, you didn't get the discovery, you didn't get shit.

Remember when you the TCPA expert got blown the fuck out by a random shitposter on a forum dedicated to watching autistic people shit themselves, and then die.

Can Vic decide to drop Jamie from the case during appeals if he chose to do so or does he have to appeal the entire suit with all its defendants? I'm unclear how appeals works in this regard.

he didn't listen to your song and now he pays the price

It's by defendant. Nobody tried to segregate by cause of action because they were all dismissed.

If the appeals court reverses as to some causes, but not others, they will also have to remand to Chupp for him to re-evaluate the attorney's fees awards.

If they do because he did it incorrectly, it's not going to be to reevaluate with unfettered discretion but in accordance with the mandate on remand. (Or they can and might substitute their own evaluation but this is not the type of thing appeals courts like doing very much. They have done so in TPCA appeals, though.)

no autistic roleplaying
I would want to be a fly on the wall when they ask him "so what did you mean you would charge us this if you didn't win"? Odds of Ron going ape shit on him, or is Mosquito man too "chad" for his soy ass to get rough with?

Oh man, I want to see that argument. I can just picture it now.

Ron: "WHAT DO YOU MEAN WE HAVE TO PAY THAT MUCH! 🤬🤬😡😤"

Ron takes his remote out of his pocket and raises it in the air.

Lemoine: "But Ron..."

Lemoine gets up from his chair, wheezing from the effort of standing up. He reaches into his pocket and pulls out a large universal remote in one hand and clicks a button, revealing a giant itemized bill

Lemoine: "I am your lawyer. -Wheeze-"

Ron drops to his knees.

Ron: "Noooo! IT ISN'T TRUE! FUNIMATION HIRED YOU! 😱😱🤥🤥😢😭😭"

Lemoine: "Search your text messages, you know it to be true. -Wheeze-"

Then, suddenly, Monica appears behind Lemoine, seemingly topless.

Monica: "Nothing personal, kid."

Her hand suddenly grabs Lemoine's free hand, who can't resist due to the extensive damage sustained by the West Nile virus leaving him at ten percent of his power, and uses it to cup her breast.

Monica: "Somebody help! HE'S SEXUALLY ASSAULTING ME! AND BEATING MY....Uhhh...BOYFRIEND!"

Ron, suddenly taking the hint, starts beating himself with the remote. Lemoine, having not touched a real woman's breast in decades, starts having an asthma attack, which causes him to fall unconscious and ultimately die of excitement.

Monica, realizing what happened, climbed out the window to leave Ron to take the blame. However, not being the sharpest knife in the crayon box, she didn't realize she was the fifth floor of the building.

I'll leave it at that. I'm pretty sure I'd be upgraded to non-functioning autism if I go any further.

Jamie will probably escape appeals. FUNi might escape appeals if Hsu and Martinez fuck up somehow, but MoRon are fucked beyond common sense.

Putting Vic on the stand was so stupid. I believe Chupp was ready to bring the pain until he heard Vic and I hope it finally got him interested in the case.

In the main thread, I joked that Chupp "can't say no to a big ol' pair of blue eyes." Can't say I knew I'd be right in that regard. :story:
