She is just an idiot that asked a lawyer if she had a case. Smelling money and ignorance in the air he gleefully exclaimed “yes my good goy” between loud chortling and whistles from his nose. I’m guessing that a local judge is going to find in her favor and the Supreme Court is going to step in and quash the whole lawsuit.

Unless this inspires Congress to take an axe to CDA Section 230 I don't see anything coming from this other than a short burst of media attention. Just a lawyer collecting a paycheck for wasting time.

It’s been said so many times, taking these sites down doesn’t stop hate. It drives it underground, isolates it, makes it harder to track, and makes it more reactionary/incendiary.

Sure it MIGHT make it harder for your average person to stumble upon this stuff but those who want it will seek it out, find it and tell others. If you want to win this, you have to fight it in the open and change minds with facts and compassion. Don’t stifle speech or use hyperbole because they drive wedges between people and into the arms of your opponents.

Anti-vaccine stuff is a big one, I don’t think Facebook should allow people to post what is clearly bad science and lies because it’s leading to deaths. However, by banning content you’re just creating conspiracy theories these idiots believe in. I think they should allow pro-vaccine people to rip apart anti-vaxxer arguments without repercussions.

Is it prudent to sue the family of the shooter?

That seems pretty fucked up tbh.
Ya know, sins of the father and all.
I wouldn't dignify that with even a philosophical fancy. No one in the US is going to carry a case against a criminal's family. Even search engines are fucking confused over such a nonsensical query. You cannot hold the family of a perpetrator legally responsible, period. The infamous court of public opinion is what I'd be concerned about.

For a cracker midget in a wheelchair, Brennan sure is good at shuckin'-and-jivin'.

"Lawdy, lawdy! No massa, I swears I weren't socializin' with that there 8chan! P-p-p-please don't whip me! Lemme tell you, massa, that Crusius and Brown over yonder, dey makin' eyes at yo wife, massa! You's da best massa a wheeled midget negro can ask for, massa!"

Grow a pair, Fred.

It appears everyone is being accused of negligence. I'm waiting for a download of the initial filings.
Negligence?

Expecting something to be taken down within 23 minutes is kind of absurd, especially if the site is getting a lot of traffic. But then again, the world is getting dumber each year.

Mein Gott, those people are even more obnoxious than Cassie Bernall's parents

On top of that, hiding and banning that sort of content just tends to reinforce the beliefs of the people who produce it. To them, it's just more proof that the Powers That Be don't want people finding out "the truth".

Hotwheels can't afford a lawyer and is looking to represent himself. Despite it seeming like a straightforward case, he will need to lawyer up - he's up against people who do this for a living. A competent lawyer will be able to get this handled quickly, but hotwheels is not a competent lawyer: he isn't trained at it. He might be able to get by, but there's no guarantee of it.
I'm just happy though, he is going to end up with most of his money burnt to the ground

Why not hire Null? He seen enough bullshit in his spambox to know how argue his way out of this in his sleep.

How could Fredrick be even close to relevant to this if he hasn't been connected to 8chan for years and is actively against it now? I guess it's similar to Remington being sued for Sandy Hook.
It looks the same as the retards who still think girlvinyl runs ED.
