Next paragraph is pretty cool too:Jesus fucking christ. That's... that's not even rape apologism. That's rape advocacy, advocacy for rapists and for rape to happen, and then trying to claim rapists are the real victims when people point out that they're rapists. Holy fuck. I can't even.. how do you even.. what the fuck is wrong with this person and every single person who even remotely approaches that view? Oh my god.
Accordingly, we need to challenge the idea that sexual autonomy be viewed as an absolute right. For some, this is tantamount to heresy or rape apologia. However, this is not a time for reticence, not while the attrition against trans and gender queer kids continues unabated. Sexual autonomy, as apparently understood by the CPS and by those who helped shape prosecutorial policy in this area, renders sacred the subjective experience of complainants, even to the point of denying others the capacity for self-determination. When all is said and done, being true to yourself, that is, living an authentic life in the face of a disbelieving, hostile, and frequently violent world is not, and should never be viewed as, deceptive. This is a line in the sand we simply must draw.
Professor Sharpe has been involved in transgender law reform and activism for over twenty years. During that time, she has provided advice to various government agencies and departments, members of parliament, law firms, public interest advocacy organisations, and a variety of professional bodies, both in the UK and internationally. Professor Sharpe has also represented transgender groups at parliamentary hearings. She regularly meets with transgender groups both nationally and internationally and sits on the International Legal Committee of the World Professional Association of Transgender Health (WPATH). This committee makes law reform interventions in transgender litigation worldwide by way of amicus briefs. She also sat on Amnesty International's Expert Committee on the Criminalisation of Sexual and Reproductive Conduct.

Not to be a KF tyre pumper, but this sequence is such a beautiful teaching moment for those who question whether the twitter trans bias exists. This is so heartening to see. Ever since Jack Dorsey made it clear the concerns of troons and troon "allies" would be prioritized at Twitter, they've stomped around with impunity, while the rest of us have to be mindful of the deletions and bans that happen if they whine.
The kind of crap Twitter deleted while Rhys continued to dance on Magdalen Berns' grave is a good illustration of what an absurdity the place is.

I for one welcome our new Japanese overlords. They're a butt of mass media jokes if their existence is acknowledged at all. Also they won't change your gender on government ID unless you chop your cock off which is more than they used to allow.
It is seen as a mental illness for the purposes of having insurance coverage for HRT and so on. Troons often get a designated bathroom or are expected to use the unisex disabled stalls. Those who engage in sex work are expected to change into their outfits at their workplace (but this is true for any event requiring dressing up, e.g. cosplay or fringe fashions). The idea is, we will tolerate your shit as long as you do not stick out. What is the Japanese attitude towards troons?
Next paragraph is pretty cool too:
They proudly tout this and their other similar blog postings on their "making a difference" page on their university profile: https://www.keele.ac.uk/law/research/makingadifference/alexsharpe/#keynote-addresses-and-lectures
They did. People did point out that he only "won" in a certain age bracket.Hopefully people are pointing out that he can't really beat elite level women, either.
Japan is very, and I mean VERY conformist. What is the Japanese attitude towards troons?
Shouldn't the law privilege the plaintiff's interpretation of gender, given this is what sexual consent is hinged on?Alex Sharpe - Professor of Law at Keele University powiedział(a):And here lies the problem: the CPS continue to privilege cisgender interpretations of gender in deciding whether to bring sexual offence prosecutions.
Sports are an human right, but sexual autonomy is not. There is zero doubt about it: troons want to rewrite the law so they can rape women.Alex Sharpe - Professor of Law at Keele University. powiedział(a):Accordingly, we need to challenge the idea that sexual autonomy be viewed as an absolute right.
It ain't rape if you just lie back and enjoy it!Alex Sharpe - Professor of Law at Keele University. powiedział(a):If we do not see our lover’s face, do we not sense her in other ways? Do we not breath her in, feel her touch, experience the contours of her body, feel her breath upon our skin, the timbre of her voice? And are we not undone in such moments, irrespective of the eyes?

BTW what is the deadname of this freak?
Alex Sharpe, the proponent of that hypothetical situation, is very explicit as to what they actually believe in their various blogs:
"And here lies the problem: the CPS continue to privilege cisgender interpretations of gender in deciding whether to bring sexual offence prosecutions. What this amounts to, is an insistence that the sexual autonomy of cisgender people, even in the context of desire-led intimacy between adults, trumps the right of others to determine their own gender. In robbing transgender and gender queer people of self-definitional agency, at least in the realm of criminal law, we have produced a situation where rape becomes divorced from consent and desire, and complainant ‘distress’ becomes an after the fact experience only possible from a position of power, that is, the cisnormative and state-sanctioned power to name others, to ontologically wound. This simply will not do in a liberal society. "
If we do not see our lover’s face, do we not sense her in other ways? Do we not breath her in, feel her touch, experience the contours of her body, feel her breath upon our skin, the timbre of her voice?
It's just possible that the agent thought he was hiring a guy. I mean, think about it. If he's looking at pictures of Rhys he's pretty sure he's getting a kooky over the hill MAMIL and the Japanese love staring at weird gaijin freaks.Because of the Olympics, according to him. Oh okay, so deception to get consent where it would otherwise not be forthcoming is fine. So all those instances of undercover police infiltrating left wing organisations, forming relationships with the members, even having kids with them in one case, that was okay by Alex? I mean, really it was the women’s fault for not realising the guys were really cops, right? Pretty problematic, Al. You know how the cops spend all their time rapemurdering trans women. You're ignoring the bigger issue - just because someone might deceive you into sex doesn't mean you didn't totally secretly know and love it anyway!
Alex Sharpe, Professor of Law, Keele University:
"Thus, even if we accept, as both juries did, that Gayle Newland deceived the complainant, and that the complainant remained ignorant of Newland’s gender identity, is it not also true that ignorance is a form of knowledge, one which implicates human agency?
If we do not see our lover’s face, do we not sense her in other ways? Do we not breath her in, feel her touch, experience the contours of her body, feel her breath upon our skin, the timbre of her voice? And are we not undone in such moments, irrespective of the eyes? Is it right in such circumstances to disown our desires because we are retrospectively disappointed? How can we claim ignorance of participation in lesbian sex when the presence of a female lover has taken the form of sensory overload?
In other words, there is something inadequate about the way we discuss gender identity fraud cases. Rather than fixating on deception, we might instead consider more seriously the complex relationship between ignorance and knowledge. That is, even if deceived, we should acknowledge information that arrives through our senses, calling us to respond, and to which we do respond. Might it be the case that gender identity fraud prosecutions tell us less about deception, and more about a refusal to acknowledge embodied experiences, apparently at odds with our desires, and the pleasures we derive from them? Ultimately perhaps, the Newland case points to a refusal to acknowledge that all (not merely blindfolded) desire is blind?"
And that, my friends and foes, is precisely why trannies cannot pass for the opposite sex. Surgery, make-up, wigs etc will never alter their fundamental characteristics.
Oh, so the "her mouth said no but her body said yes!" rape defense is making a comeback? You're ignoring the bigger issue - just because someone might deceive you into sex doesn't mean you didn't totally secretly know and love it anyway!

Has anybody checked out the potential female athletes for Japan? Because, I'm wondering if they feel the need to have a Western Troon apologist on hand as a troon shield. Either that or you're right. They just want to parade a freak around. It's just possible that the agent thought he was hiring a guy. I mean, think about it. True, the “you don’t know who’s trans!” argument is extremely naive, but what bothers me is the coercive tone of it. In particular, Sharpe’s suggestion that a cis woman’s sexual autonomy should be subservient to a trans woman’s identity. I feel like there’s a strong undertone of “If a trans woman wants it, you’d better spread ‘em, bitch.”Speaks truth. The whole issue is a giant moot point. Does any transwoman pass so well that she looks and sounds entirely female, moves right and smells right and flirts like a woman and in all senses appeals to woman-attracted sexual partners? I mean, up close and intimate, right up to the point of genital reveal? Particularly to lesbians, who have a better grasp of the mechanics of the gender. Is this a thing that has ever happened, outside the movies?
I assume the deal with tranny hookers are quick assignations with horny drunk guys who may or may not realize what they're really getting.
Given that Rhys and Kyle Burns and 'Katie Charm' have all stated firmly that they pass -- three of the worst-passing trans in the subforum -- I think the whole hypothetical is just an elaborate tranny sexual fantasy, not a serious discussion that we need to have.
edit to add: not counting FtM, which is a whole nother thing.
So guys, now that 2019 is slowly drawing to a close, do we have any predictions as to what 2020 might entail? Troon ban from the Olympics? or perhaps the push for even harder inclusion? Will Rhys eventually push something too far, and he'll actually face consequences for his actions?
I hope they let all the troons in. Please let Russia or Germany or some other country like that be the ones to dominate women's medal events because they go full trans, not Canada or the US. And then I hope that when the world cup champion US women's soccer team has to play next, that they face a team with 50% of them being troons.I can't wait for the olympics not because I care about any of the events as much as I am on the edge of my seat with regard to their decision about letting troons in. They are fucked either way. Say no and every center/center-left/far-left media org (see: almost all of them) will lose their shit and it will be in the news constantly about how much the mean old olympics hates poor trans folx.
The alternative is even funnier though. They say yes and we get Mouncies and Mackinnons* and every other failed man growing his hair and gut out, saying UwU, and crushing his competitors while the sane amongst us laugh and point and the woke grit their teeth and pretend this is fine, everything is fine.
*Well, not actually Mackinnon since we know he can't win against actual pro and actual women cyclists.
