If misgendering a troon is literal murder, this ought to at least be the equivalent of genocide. Can you imagine the media coverage and faux outrage if it were women protesting and banging on the windows while troons were trying to have a meeting? We'd have to listen endlessly about how they weren't "safe" and how people were trying to kill trans people.
They should be allowed to protest, but they shouldn't be allowed to bang on the windows like that. If for no other reason than to protect the property owner's rights. If I protest a bank or a retailer and try to bang on windows -- I'll get my ass arrested. Who is protecting these troons? Someone in power wants them protected. The bigger question is why.

This is so heartening to see. Ever since Jack Dorsey made it clear the concerns of troons and troon "allies" would be prioritized at Twitter, they've stomped around with impunity, while the rest of us have to be mindful of the deletions and bans that happen if they whine.
The kind of crap Twitter deleted while Rhys continued to dance on Magdalen Berns' grave is a good illustration of what an absurdity the place is.

here in the south, homeschoolers have repeatedly whined & sobbed that their kids don't get to do team sports. & the rest of us are like, fuck you. that's a big reason why some parents choose the private AND public schools they choose, for the teams or for the orchestras, science program, languages taught, whatever.
example: people will move many miles to get their very tall sons onto a well-known public high school's basketball team, practically guaranteeing a scholarship to a good state college. large athletic girls are sent to private schools for the rowing, soccer or other teams.
if you deliberately keep your kid home, take em to a park, run em around a track a few times, that was your choice. not bringing them in to do sports & nothing else.
they started whiny campaigns with slogans like, sports is a child's right or some shit & i remembered wondering if rhys had cribbed from them.
in any event, that's how he sounds in this neck of the woods, like another disgruntled homeschooling parent.
i hope he realizes when they see his bumper stickers SPORTS IS A HUMAN RIGHT , 75% of the southerners who see that will assume he is a right wing Christian homeschooler-daddy, complaining that sonny boy has been left out of the baseball team that his parents tax money is nonetheless paying for. whine, whine.
if he interacted with his surroundings instead of living in a rhys-bubble, of course, he would know this, since all of these political struggles are right in his back yard. but he is stupid, out of touch, too self centered.
in the meantime, i enjoy seeing right wing homeschooler bumper stickers on his bike & in his workout room.

Rhys is the stereotype of an entitled, aggressive, competitive male, but I'll give it to him that he's also scheming and controlling like a stereotypical bitch.
I'll also admit that Rhys is one of the few cows where it makes me a bit mad to see his aggressive bullshit rewarded with social recognition of sorts. His cycling title is obviously stolen, but I can kind of see how public debate isn't ready yet to call him out on that. But how does Rhys get away with these glaring gaps of reasoning as a professor of philosophy for gods sakes?

So on the one hand Rhys wants to maintain that sex differences are a social construct, which, well, I think is nonsense when taken to extremes, but nevertheless it also seems obvious that there's a valid argument that social norms shape individual behavior to some extent. It's hard to see how any kind of education (or even activism) would work if that were not the case, i.e. if people didn't adapt their behavior in response to social cues. So, okay, fine, let's assume social norms can shape behavior. That's pretty much common sense anyway.
But then when it comes to social contagion, Rhys claims that "there is no such thing" and that gender identity is somehow innate to the individual, incorruptible by any social influence whatsoever.
So which is it? If women can be influenced to "throw like girls" then doesn't it stand to reason that men can also be influenced to become an "uwu animu pwincess"? Or, in Rhys' case, a thief and a fraud?

Honestly, no one has to do anything to ruin the trans movement because they are doing it all by themselves. The majority will eventually hit peak trans, we've just hit it sooner than most.
These activists and allies are totally okay with the trans stuff because they have one token trans they might interact with on occasion. Because wealth and privilege allow you to live far away where trans congregate. If you have to interact with one on a daily basis, you'll hit peak pretty quickly. I bet Rhys' colleagues peaked a LONG time ago.
But most of them, no matter how much they protest, would absolutely be gutted to find out their kid wanted to troon out or they were going to have to pretend to be a lesbian in order to stay married. It is all well and good to virtue signal and say you support the trans "bravery" -- but if you had to let them into your exclusive gym locker room or compete with them for a position as the head of "women's studies" or have them move in next door ... well, you'd be pissed off and rethinking the troon tolerance thing in a heartbeat. But, as long as they don't personally experience any difficulties with it, they'll sell everyone else out in order to get a few woke points.
The fact remains that nearly all troons have serious mental illness and/or personality disorders. Most are like Rhys -- a misogynistic narcissist. You could take the most stereotypical male chauvinist pig -- stick him in a wig and and dress -- and you'd end up with Rhys. How that has become the #1 protected group of liberals is mind blowing. And how anyone can think that allowing people like this unrestricted access to spaces with women and girls won't lead to disaster is beyond belief. They know. They just don't care.

On why, if men and women are physiologically the same, sports should remain segregated -
If sports are only sex-segregated because of blind adherence to outmoded sexist conventions, why is it that men and women compete against one another in sports that test skill rather than strength, like horseback riding and dogsledding? For that matter, why do men and women compete against one another in photography contests or chili cook-offs or poetry slams or trivia night at the local bar?

"Throwing like a girl" is not a ~social construct.~ Here is a discussion on some 2012 research demonstrating that even in Aboriginal Australian cultures where children are trained the same amount in throwing regardless of sex, girls can only throw about 80% as fast and far as boys. In the US, girls throw about 51%-78% as fast as boys. The so-called "throwing gap" is one of the biggest physical gaps between the sexes.
The researcher speculates that some kind of evolutionary hardwiring might be responsible for the throwing gap. I don't necessarily buy that, but it's pretty clear that "throwing like a girl" is more than just a social construct. Not that Rhys cares.

I've never seen someone paid for speaking engagements who bragged openly about the amount of money they'd be bringing in from an engagement or tour. But he never talks about the tour without talking about how well-paid it is or throwing out numbers that seem to change from day to day.
It's not just gauche, it inhibits your ability to adjust price up and down with changing demand. It also makes it so that forever afterward, if you don't talk about how much money you're making for subsequent not-actually-happening speaking tours, we'll know you made less than that.
I'm reminded of a joke about a store with a really good special. "Steak for a dollar a pound?" says the customer. "I'll take twenty!"

"That's what I charge for it when I'm all out, too."
