As much as people hate on the DMV, the Post Office, and the IRS they've all been pretty straightforward in my dealings with them, but I never try to weasel out of giving them money which probably helps a lot.

There's a really good reason why the Founding Fathers wanted a representative republic over a pure democracy. It all comes down to the fact that many of the pure democracies before it simply failed and would eventually become corrupt and tyrannical. There's a sad reason why Socrates was then condemned to death because the people in power convinced the Athenians to execute Socrates for 'corrupting the youth' and a whole bunch of other bullshit crime charges and the people in power did their best to convince the citizens of Athens to vote to have Socrates be put to death and this would be part of the beginning of the end of Athenian democracy because mob rule would take over and make everything into total shit by then.
The big problem with a pure democracy is that the people in power can make good people do really horrible things by appealing to their emotions and whatnot which is why the Founding Fathers wanted to make things more fair and not have the United States end up like Athens in the long run.

It's not really Orange Man Good...it's more like Democrats Bad. They rarely talk about Tramp as much as they talk about pretty much forcing their political opinions in and why what the Demos think is bad in their view.
Except for maybe Fox and Friends, but I dunno, because I've never watched.

Apart from Tucker Carlson I'm really not well-versed in FOX. I like the absolutely pointless slap-fights he gets into but apart from that I know very little about what airs on FOX news or what the overall quality happens to be. I know that FOX's TV news is very different from the FOX news website, though. The website is quickly becoming more centrist now that FOX learned that it can hoover up all of the moderates since basically no one else is doing that, so they've started to lean that way a lot more in the last year or two, rather than just being a Never-Trump network that became a pro-Trump network.
It's working out surprisingly well for them and I'm actually glad to see a major network start to shuffle itself back towards the center. I wouldn't call them an unbiased, middling source of news yet, but they're a far cry from the sort of network they used to be ten years ago if you just weave your way around the shouty personalities like Hannity, who really just invites people onto his show so they can listen to him talk.

Yes, I'm fine with them. Prison's supposed to be a deterrent; shitty conditions are part of that.
This is ground that's been tread one thousand times or more but I'll say it anyway; if you don't want to be locked up in a shitty prison then don't break the law. I feel bad for the children but there's no helping it; they should be treated better than adults but that requires separating them from said adults and that starts the bawwwing process all over again.

Ehh, I'll watch the occasional rerun of Walker, Texas Ranger and a movie here and there but other than that I don't really watch television all that much anymore.
These days you can get far better entertainment on the Internet than what they show on television now.
