I've worked in group homes before, and I never worked with a deathfat on the level of the Slatons, but we were quite literally instructed to ignore the demanding behavior. We kept a log to show what was served etc etc. We did have one client who infact, called the police repeatedly over stupid shit, and that is why you kept a log.
Alot of the clients who get abusive/threatening towards staff over things like this also can end up in an actual institution. Not long term, but short term. Generally after a few calls, police will actually ask the on site staff if they'd like them to relocate them to a secure facility. That is to say, a local ward. So all TamTam would do is find her self temporarily spending a week in an even -more- hard to sneak food in facility where she'd have even more restricted access to entertainment.
I don't think Amy is that handicapped, just dumb because no one taught her, but TamTam is a sped. So if TamTam is actually a ward of the state <which seems in some capacity she is> then if Amy stopped wanting to be her 'caretaker' and Maw and Paw slaton really won't let her back, she would end up in a group home scenario.
She'd actually be fairly easy to deal with in a grouphome. She has food aggression, but zero ability to do much but throw things at you if you were in her room. I don't think TamTam would even throw things, she'd probably hollar alot and speed dial the police. Not sure on the procedures if she tried to empty a fridge at night. Generally group homes are set up that clients go to bed at a certain time. Namely for safety reasons and there is still always 2 staff members on at all times ill regardless.
I am still trying to envision how the hell TamTam managed to empty out a fridge at night in the Slaton Mansion. How did no one wake up from her moving around?
