There needs to come a time when people have to stop blaming their mental illness and everything else for their own actions and learn to own up and take responsibility for what they've done. By that process, people can learn to heal and work to redeem their actions and ultimately better themselves for it. It's the standard process humans undertake in order to grow as people. Mistakes are made, and that's okay because we are human and flawed at our cores. But when we are unable to recognize those errors, we stay stuck in that same loop of always blaming others for everything and for our lot in life. Self reflection goes a long way, even if you happen to be a really messed up individual. When you are like this, you'll stay stagnant forever and that fundamentally goes against what we as humans are. We're meant to grow and evolve through our experiences...our mistakes in particular. That's why it's important to realize when you fuck up, why, and accept that you fucked up and do what you have to do to either make sure it never happens again or do your damnedest to try to not let it happen again. What's that saying again? Even if you lose...you still win in the end. Your reward is the newly given insight and wisdom from that loss.

I think there actually is some value in saying “Hey, there was something going on in my head here that made me act that way.” It’s helpful to identify that thing so you can work to counteract it in the future. The problem with what these people do is;
a) Most of them don’t actually have anything going on, they just need a convenient excuse and mild depression is the popular excuse right now.
b) Instead of just recognizing something going on, they use it as a get-out-of-jail-free card to completely excuse all their behavior, both to other people and in their own heads. The real way to grow is to admit there was something going on while also accepting your share of the responsibility while also trying not to beat yourself up about it more than what is a healthy amount for the situation. Jared, Heidi, and Holly don’t want to grow though, they want to look good on the internet.

Ross has really nothing to do with this anymore. His past with Holly is already done and over with and he's already moved on and washed his hands of her, Jared and everything. I looked it up, I'm assuming alimony is based on the state where you separate and not where you were first married right? I have no fucking clue how this marriage shit works. If so Washington state has a 1 to 3 ratio for support. Meaning for every 3 years of marriage they get 1 year of alimony. They were only married around 5 years right? She'll get a year and a half of alimony from Jared. Not really enough to ruin his life. That's enough runway to get something going for most people, who knows what she's going to do for income now since she hasn't had a real job in probably 10 years. I'll be hopeful and maybe she'll be a seamstress. Her shit doesn't look too bad, she could take costume commissions and eek out a meager living. Her own cosplay would have to take a back seat which will probably derail that idea, unless she's good with juggling her own projects with customer ones. That would be the smart thing to do anyway.
