Would look REAL bad if a VA stood by her CP owning brother yet torched Vic at the steak
Because let's he honest, even if he loses I doubt she will disown him and might even continue defending him online
She sounded a step away from defending owning CP itself with the "VIC IS TOUCHING PEOPLE AND MY BROTHER ISNT" shit
Thats the thing, defending him publicly to find out hes guilty is worse than saying nothing at all, but she isnt so smart to think in advanced anyway, but it had a weird turn into why she thinks Vic is guilty and it was just super hypocritical, but shes silent now so.

And I'm sure Funimation knows about it, got a bunch of reports about it, but ignores it and doesn't squelch her while kickvic took her side and hopes her brother gets to avoid doing time. While they fired a dude over a jelly bean.

PS: According to the police report he also had that stuff on his Google account.

If we want to talk true bros, it'd have to be Reubon Langdon being one of the only people with the balls to talk about Vic being possibly innocent in public. I think the others were too afraid of the backlash to say anything on the matter as if they take a more neutral stance both sides would give them flack. Pretty sure they are just a bit cowardly which honestly not speaking about it is the wisest move. We don't need to know but maybe they texted or talked with Vic during this. I just don't like to assume the worst out of people. But to answer the question I don't think they'd be willing to throw but they might watch as it happens and say nothing.
Motherfucker survived being shot at in Guatemala. What's the worst kickvic can do to him? Hurt his feelings?

anyone who has ever worked on computers has found some weird shit on there. It's not at all uncommon for some idiot to bring in a computer for repair and have CP on it and get busted.
I thankfully haven't run into anything illegal yet, but some porn of very questionable taste has showed up in my shop before.

Ok, real talk about the "CP on a used HDD; a program just happened to start sharing it for me."

Do I believe he could have bought weird shit on a HDD and been surprised about it? Yes. Absolutely. I wouldn't even be shocked if it happened.

Do I believe he didn't format his shiny new HDD? No way.

If he did do a format, and the FBI scanned the empty space and found shit? I could see this happening and he'd still be fucked. (But they'd have to have a good reason to raid him in the first place, so... unlikely.)

Is it odd that he refused to speak to the police? Fuck no, it's the smartest thing he could do. The FBI / Police are not your friends, they can and will lie to you, and they have a vested moral and economic interest in getting you arrested and arraigned, even if they know you're innocent.

Do I think he had a program that just started sharing the contents of his HDD?

... Maybe.

It depends on the program.

If it's Limewire or whatnot, and he happened to be running the same program and it was pointed at the same old folder for downloads? It could start sharing without him knowing.

If it's Bittorrent, and he's got it set up to auto-load torrents in a given folder? That just happened to have old torrents? Ok.

If it's Dropbox, Google Drive, or something similar, and it decided to re-use an existing, CP filled, folder? I could see that?

If it was me, I'd be asking my lawyer to get a forensics expert to look at the GUID of the owner of any files (torrent, downloaded, etc) on the filesystem, their creation dates, NTFS permissions, etc. If they came from a previous OS installation they'll have really weird owners / people with really permissions like SEC 5-5134-15134-415-1-481-41 instead of Computer/BOB. Log files for when files were uploaded to Dropbox / Google Drive would also be useful; if it was all due to a new HDD, they would all be uploaded in one huge burst.

Without violating powerlevels, back about 10, 15 years ago there used to be a Japanese P2P network called WinNY or Share, depending on which revision it was. It wasn't dissimilar to Limewire et all, you would cache parts of the "network" and share files between each other, also had a built in dynamically distributed 2ch/4chan/8ch thing. The motto was "they can't arrest ALL of us."

The way it'd work for file sharing is you'd set up a keyword search, usually of the format of some game or album or what have you. "Naruto Episode 5," or "NewPornGame by Manufacturername."

But you could do something exceptional, like put in a keyword like "big ol' titties" or "brown skinned elf chicks" or "That One Manga Artist You're Obsessed with Collecting." And then any files flagged as such would download. Of course, there was nothing stopping people from putting... anything in those zip files. I never saw anything illegal, but occasionally people's dox, or shock videos, or what have you would be shoved in and mislabeled.

(Rarest find? The video tubgirl came from. It was supposed to be a Ranma 1/2 episode.)

Now... in another timeline, where a powerdrill hadn't been taken to a few DVD-R spindles a few years back just in case? Say I got raided, and DVDs and HDDs got taken. "No officer, I didn't download that, I put in a keyword and it auto downloaded every file with that name on the network..."

Yeah. Internet was a very dumb place 10 years ago. The VA's brother is probably lying and still fucked, but it's not ENTIRELY outside the realm of possibility.

Now that I remember what I was going on about in a discord server about this situation, I want to ask y'all guys a question.

What's going to happen after Vic undoubtedly wins, etc.?

We all know something is going to happen, but I want y'all's thoughts on this. I'll compare this with my data from several other servers and try to make an accurate guess after compiling it all.

Here he is talking about it:

It was mostly those texts from Todd that made people think he was bashing Vic behind his back, but their friendship seems comfortable enough that they make fun of each other a lot so I'm leaning towards Todd being in Vic's corner.
These? (the "me" is Todd Haberkorn):

It looks like Haberkorn is asking whether Pridemore knows whether Vic is gay? If it was apparently so well known that he molests girls/women then why would they think that?

Immediately? An appeal trying to drive the punitive awards down to 0. A bit later? Funimation gets gutted by Sony. This occurs even if Vic loses -- Funimation as we know it is undead. It's just a matter of time.

Afterwards... I see the other dubbing studios (Viz, Sentai, etc) being more willing to work with Vic openly. I also predict sites like ANN and Polygon will do hit pieces for a while (few years) afterwards, just to keep "Vic, who was accused of sexual misconduct..." in the papers out of spite.

Later, Funimation (Sony) sues Rial, Marchi, and Soye for their share of the payout. This marks the end of Rial and Marchi's careers. I don't see real companies working with them again, although SJWelfare means that as long as a company has a danger hair, they'll have a chance to get hired.

So many people act like Rooster Teeth is all innocent and untouchable and BHBH would be idiots to go after them. One guy even told me contracts were designed basically in a way that the companies are free to drop you at any time for any reason especially for another VA to come in and fill the role. I said the reason for contracts is so that doesn't happen bit apparently I have no idea what I'm talking about. There's a point where you just give up.
It's literally not a contract unless both sides give consideration. "I'll do it if I feel like it" is not consideration.

Any termination clause has to be for cause or, if not, compensate for the failure to live up to the obligation.

So for instance, they can't just have you do your work and refuse to pay at the end for no reason, even if they can terminate and not hire you again.

That depends on whether Vic's contract has a termination agreement in it that allows the end of the partnership with no justification. It also would be relevant if a certain mentally-handicapped individual contacted anybody from Rooster Teeth (who could have ended up talking to head honchos and casting directors) saying the Vic was investigated for being "a predator" and was going to jail for it when that wasn't the actuality of the situation. I mean, Miles Luna is a big player in the creation of RWBY.

And thats why people should never knowingly do business with Woke/SJW companies.

I realize that sometimes that it's about impossible to avoid. The truth though, is that no one ever died from a lack of Funimation. The only way to purge SJWs from anything is to stop paying them. And like it or not, we collectively have a choice: Fund our own problems or don't. Anime or comics etc will never go away. And what happens when Funi/Marvel/DC finally go belly up? Comicsgate shows that there are options and there's always buying straight from Japan for Anime until replacement companies are built. And they will be. The market for non 'woke' products dwarfs that for SJW bullshit.

Haberkorn and Vic have a running gag that they're married or gay for each other, so Todd was likely kidding there.

For example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dn84zjOoQtk

Those messages with Jessie make it sound like she got rejected by Vic and is very bitter about it.

No, in my post I meant Todd's texts with Adam Sheehan that were from after kickvic started. He makes fun of how young Vic's new girlfriend is and comes across like a prick but it's possible it was a joke. Always hard to tell in text form.

Yeah, but none of that gets him off the hook, either. Maybe it creates a specter of a doubt, but who's to say it wasn't him upgrading his own hardware? Updating his own OS? Formatting his own drive?

I know you're playing devil's advocate, but unless that data points to a specific reachable person, I don't see how it isn't simply "in his possession."

It really sounds like the first excuse through the head of someone who hasn't hired a lawyer yet. "It's not mine! I don't know where it came from! I've never even SEEN a bittorrent!"

Rule of thumb, the closer friends you are, the more you trade insults and banter. Todd and Vic seem to have a pretty decent friendship.

That depends on whether Vic's contract has a termination agreement in it that allows the end of the partnership with no justification.

It can't just have that, though. It can terminate upon specific events, but someone can't hire you, for instance, to build a house, then wait until it's almost done and cancel and not pay you.

They could almost certainly terminate at known end dates or events like finishing something, but to terminate immediately would require cause or notice, or entitle the other side to some kind of calculated compensation for it.

They almost certainly chose a known event, the end of the Broly movie, to terminate because they would have been entitled to terminate (or more likely just not renew) for no reason at that point, or the contract simply terminated by its own operation. I'd guess that Funimation works with single picture deals, but I'm just guessing.

In any event, breach of contract by Funimation isn't in the case, I would assume because they did not actually breach.

Either Todd was way off about Vic's age ("almost 50") or that conversation is ancient history. (Vic will be turning 57 in August)

It's ancient history. Todd knows how old Vic is. Remember that Pridemore's is accusing Vic and Todd of stuff that she claims happened forever ago. That's a common theme in all this. It's just like Marchi, Rial, and the three things in the Sony investigation.

I think Pridemore specifically accuses Tood of drunk-raping her LAST DECADE. He posted that to show they were extremely friendly with each other after this supposed horrible incident.

Why can they take his HDD at all?`cant he just say he will give them to a privat investigator to acid bleach it?
