He says Aaron Dismuke and Todd Haberkorn are like his little brothers

Really? If true, so much for people on both sides saying Todd is either indifferent toward or doesnt like Vic.

Then again, Todd could very well have been one of those traitors that were un-publically #kickvic before being roped in himself.

So the main moderator for the thread on ANN just dumped this lovely novel. This is basically the person in charge of controlling the narrative on ANN. Basically, Ron Toye says things will be okay, so he believes him. Also they served on a jury one time and they know things.

They also have a thread here, albeit a small one.

"There is some visual evidence to show this."

You mean the visual evidence you took from people's social media accounts without permission?

There's a change log on ANN that shows the original version of that article. The author even said that those images were for "visual imagery". They're not evidence of sexual misconduct or stupid shit like that. They're only evidence of him holding and kissing con attendees, and are arguably consensual.

And the fact that they think Jamie Marchi should do a GoFundMe, despite already doing a GoFundMe for sexual assault victims of color that failed and din't make sense to have in the first place since the SCESA website had its own donation page using PayPal, which has less transaction fees than GoFundMe, I'm so sure that Marchi's GoFundMe will do wonders for her.

Funimation baffles me. I mean, maybe if they have rock solid proof of some horrible things he's done they can worm their way out of it, but...even then I'm not sure they're lawsuit proof. I'm pretty sure even if they're safe from defamation, they wouldn't be off the hook for TI with prospective business. And with Todd it's even more baffling, because there's no way they have proof he raped anyone, so they have no possible escape.

Are they really this incompetent, somehow? Why do you insist on going full speed ahead? Do they legitimately think Sony will jump in with their mega-lawyers and save them even if they're rat-dirty, so they don't have to worry about the law? Because this isn't a criminal trial, and it's a lot harder to flex your money and make the jury doubt your guilt enough to rule in your favor in a civil trial where the standard is 'more likely than not'.
I think with Haberkorn it doesn't have anything to do with the Thotwhore shit. How much play has that really even gotten? Not much. Todd hasn't been fired from shit. He's still doing shit with WatchMojo.

I think it's because he's basically thrown in with Vic and Nick, and he's retained Ty as an attorney. They're worried about what he might do. They're trying to warn him off.

From my understanding, they didn't even do an investigation with Todd. If Todd still works with Funimation, this would be a problem. Speaking of which, does he still do work at Funimation? Looking at his IMDB page, other than Fairy Tail, which I think his run on those shows have ended, he hasn't done really anything for Funimation lately. Maybe they let him go under wraps as opposed to their dumbass commentary on Vic.

It's really interesting that this investigation that they said they had has to be confidential. I see no reason for this, especially since that releasing it would stop this legal dilemma and make things more defined. But, they don't do that. Why? To "protect Vic"? Isn't protecting criminals and concealing evidence of criminal activity illegal? That's being an accessory after the fact. Isn't withholding evidence of such acts illegal? The logic behind this investigation and its part in all of this makes no sense. All they can really do is prove that these people were in the same place at the same time, not that Vic committed any form of sexual deviancy or wrongdoing. If this is nothing more than people talking to each other about firing Vic, or if what Vic said in the petition is the extent of his involvement in the investigation, then Funimation is fucking stupid.

I'm just pondering plausible responses to being sued for defamation, nowhere on the list can I find this option - Ron Toye today on twitter saying that "Monica came forward as one of the people he (Vic) has assaulted over the past 18 years or more."

Gee, I hope you can identify that 18 year old assault, on top of the 100+ women who have been assaulted by Vic, La Choy.

I've only put together a computer twice and I know that you could not distribute porn that is "put in there by the original owner" without manually going into the torrent network via your torrent client since he can't use the OS that was installed in the hard drive, the installation of the torrent client if it was a fresh install from the top down would not know where to find the file to distribute, and you have to download the torrent information manually by looking for it in the internet.

Did I get anything wrong with this?
Youre not wrong, some how magically he bought a hard drive, that when installed, in his new motherboard, he didnt need to format to have it detect, it also knew that when he turned the pc on to turn on whatever client that was "worse than limewire" and start seeding cp, all the stars aligned and hes innocent completely, the VA defending him did it poorly, talking like an old lady explaining computors to other old ladys, she was quick to pull out a con Vic was in that could have had her raise the money she needed too.

Iirc she was so desperate that she had signed dbz stuff to auction off.
If he bought a drive with Windows preinstalled (with either no password or the password was given to him by the previous owner) he would be able to boot it by adding the rest of the necessary components (so long as the components are reasonably compatible with the drivers Windows has available).
Windows would detect the change in hardware from its previous build and display a watermark at the bottom-right of the screen asking the user to activate Windows, but the OS would otherwise function correctly (although, I think if you don't register it prevents you from changing the wallpaper and certain other settings).

And if this hard drive, preinstalled with Windows, also had a torrent client installed that had the pornography torrent information already loaded into it (and the torrent client was set to run on start-up, and the destination for saving the downloaded files was set to a valid destination) then this could have happened.

I don't believe him at all, but it is technically possible.

Here's a brief 101 level intro to it:

Welp, after reading how the truth defense takes into account the totality of all statements I think we can safely say that Mr/Ms Toye is screwed.

So rackets streamed on twitch last night, and he kinda casually answered questions while getting playing Chaosbane. But there was one thing of note:

Happened 1:27:14

He reminds everyone that there was supposed to be a second thing to happen on Apr 15 (Shameful Dispray). He can not confirm if it has or happened yet.
"Some people improperly thought it was covered, but it has not been."

What was stated:
He hasn't confirmed if it's happened or not yet.
He can't currently state what it is, because "it would be a dangerous accusation"
It would make everyone on ISWV lose their minds laughing, and KV "Freak Out, they're going to Freak out"
There's enough content on whatever it is that he will dedicate an entire show.
Only tangentially related to a VA.

So at this point, we can chalk this one up as has not happened yet, but if/when it gets confirmed and he does cover it... it sounds like it'll be another hefty mining of salt.
Very interesting information, thanks for bringing it over here since not everyone watched Racket's twitch stream.

I'm going to make a wild guess personally given the hints of it being a "dangerous accusation" and tangentially related to VAs: it's Funimation foul play. A big OOF from Funi would set KV into chaos for sure.
Well, maybe we'll find out eventually.

Sometimes. It's going to be a hard sell that someone just abandoned large quantities of narcotics in something, though.
A harder sell than "some guy is selling hard drives full of child porn at the flea market, and I can't identify him, and I didn't get a receipt, and somehow despite leaving all that incriminating info, there's no trace of the previous owner's identity on this hard drive"?

I'm making some assumptions there, but let's face it: this guy lyin', so there isn't going to be anything else on that HDD to corroborate his "previous owner" defense.

Maybe it has something to do with what Nick was hinting at on Thursday? Something about Ron being a bit of a Mr. Bad Touch himself?

It was mostly those texts from Todd that made people think he was bashing Vic behind his back, but their friendship seems comfortable enough that they make fun of each other a lot so I'm leaning towards Todd being in Vic's corner.

If he bought a computer with a spinning hard dive it’s almost as shameful as the CP.

Considering how vague details are and the fact that there's only a slim chance of this happening, I'm putting my chips on that Brad intentionally downloaded it and Sarah is lying out her ass.

Would look REAL bad if a VA stood by her CP owning brother yet torched Vic at the steak
Because let's he honest, even if he loses I doubt she will disown him and might even continue defending him online
She sounded a step away from defending owning CP itself with the "VIC IS TOUCHING PEOPLE AND MY BROTHER ISNT" shit

Something I considered that hasn't been discussed yet. Now that it's been revealed that Sony conducted the investigation, and was not an internal ordeal, the door has been opened to past funimation employees to levy similar complaints against other VA and employees who still work at funimation. We know from glassdoor that their are a lot of people with bad work experiences their.

It's also not unlikely that's the story he told her, and she's believing it like a chump. Picture yourself in lock-up. They've found your (insert embarassing contraband here) on your hard-drive. You get one phone call.

To be fair, it's still internally consistent: KickVic never had much use for evidence in the first place. Remember: their gold standard is anonymous 3rd-hand accusations on the internet.

I like it when extremely self-assured people show they don't know shit by going, for example, 'oh he won't sue Rooster Teeth because blah, blah and blah' instead of going 'he won't sue Rooster Teeth because Texas is an at-will state and all defamatory statements were by their employees, not the company itself'.

So many people act like Rooster Teeth is all innocent and untouchable and BHBH would be idiots to go after them. One guy even told me contracts were designed basically in a way that the companies are free to drop you at any time for any reason especially for another VA to come in and fill the role. I said the reason for contracts is so that doesn't happen bit apparently I have no idea what I'm talking about. There's a point where you just give up.

When the whole thing started he was also a target and he caught a shitstorm after taking Vic's side and basically calling Jessie Thotmore a lying thot. I bet Ty instructed him to keep quiet about things relating to the case.

It's literally not a contract unless both sides give consideration. "I'll do it if I feel like it" is not consideration.

Any termination clause has to be for cause or, if not, compensate for the failure to live up to the obligation.

So for instance, they can't just have you do your work and refuse to pay at the end for no reason, even if they can terminate and not hire you again.
