To be honest, the basic narrative here is "competent subordinate promoted to incompetent leader." I've heard the same story about the Soviet space program.

Hollywood, like most corporate conglomerates masquerading as actual companies, falls afoul of the Peter Principle more often than the norm.To be honest, the basic narrative here is "competent subordinate promoted to incompetent leader." I've heard the same story about the Soviet space program.
That’s interesting because aside from them taking over distribution and marketing and Marvel getting the X-Men, I feel like Fox wouldn’t be bastardized by Disney since they’re retaining much of the executives and presidents of production from Fox.
I think you mean every cinematic universe other than Marvel. Many a CU have stumbled or even outright failed at the beginning due to a lack of respect and poor planning,

I can't wait for Star Wars: Episode IX: Total ShitfestSo according to the novelization of TLJ, the end of the Sith, the restoration of the Jedi Temple, the subsequent destruction of the Temple, and Emo Ren's turn to the dark side were all part of Snoke's master plan and Luke was actually his unknowing puppet all along. And Luke tried to kill Kylo when he was 24 rather than a kid/teen and he didn't go into isolation until a few years after that, which means that Luke was only in isolation for about 2 or so years. Yet people keep acting like he's been gone for ages and that some stupid mcguffin map will... you know what, fuck it. I'm done with this part of the subject and I feel like I've brought this up before.
Yeah, I mentioned a while back that aurebesh along with ships would be one of the few familiar things from the franchise to be in the park alongside that semi-duplicate of Chalmund's cantina and the Falcon. So what are the costumes of anyway? Random humans or aliens? Have they shown off the full appearance of that ithorian merchant animatronic yet? Got any pics of the costumes?
Also I found out that there's a book series titled "Galaxy's Edge" unrelated to Disney's Galaxy's Edge park which has been around for a few years now.
Any chance of the publishers or Disney getting into some minor drama over this?
I figured it'd be released later given the nature of the film being closed off to the public. Plus, I would imagine Disney having reshoots on the film, thus delaying the trailer.I posted about it a few pages back.

Supposedly the trailer may come out around April which makes it likely that it will be paired with Avengers. Seems like a a sneaky but solid strategy to get their loyal MCU fanbase to offer their support for the SW IP.
Do we have proof that Kathleen Kennedy actually hates Star Wars though? An article, perhaps? Just to be sure, here.It helps that Kevin actually likes and respects the Marvel franchise. Kennedy seems to have a seething hatred for it.
I've never heard her mention having any animosity towards SW itself, just its fanbase for being male dominated. There were a bunch of news articles during 2015 and 2016 where she talked about her view on the male fans. Nothing specifically about hating SW, just fans. I don't think she hates SW, but she certainly has no earnest love for it beyond a superficial normie approval of it that's mainly driven from a business perspective.Do we have proof that Kathleen Kennedy actually hates Star Wars though? In business/management, it's known as the Peter Principle: someone can do a great job at things...and then they're promoted and incompetent in their new position. To be honest, the basic narrative here is "competent subordinate promoted to incompetent leader." Just some movies and books that suggest she hates it.Do we have proof that Kathleen Kennedy actually hates Star Wars though? An article, perhaps? Just to be sure, here.
The problem is this: if TLJ is ignored, then now there's a big stupid hole in the movie which retroactively pisses of Jonson, and he and his twitter sperglets will go ham. The last thing Abrams wants is to remove even the TLJ apologists from the fandom, so honestly, I have no clue. It's going to be diet ROTJ with way too many nods to TLJ and Rey Sueing it up to mythical proportions, but other than that I have no clue.I expect it to be a clusterfuck that tries to play it safe, pander to old fans a lot by jerking off nostalgia (Lando is in it only for that aspect, since every other character is dead or gone), ignoring as much as possible from TLJ and I expect them to take no risks and make no bold moves whatsoever.
So lads predictions for how Disney is going to wrap up this steaming pile of hot garbage?
I honestly don't see how they are going to be able to salvage the series now, plot wise the new storyline hasn't made much sense from the get go, but how are they going to reconcile the new movie to the last one.
Interested to hear some thoughts.
