A valet stole the Falcon... for a joy ride... Wow... what a story Mark... Wow. I think I'm so upset that I've transcended beyond any means of physically expressing it./r/saltierthancrait has uploaded a page from a recent comic that explains how Han lost the Millennium Falcon.
Honest question, why does Lucasfilms have it out for Han? What did he do to deserve getting constantly mocked?
Will this suffice?A valet stole the Falcon... for a joy ride... Wow... what a story Mark... Wow. I think I'm so upset that I've transcended beyond any means of physically expressing it.

He was given a modulator so he could sound like an elderly black manWas Vader's voice Anakin's own but "amplified", or was it some kind of "telepathic" broadcast through the speakers in his helmet?
If the former, I've always thought it would be cool if we could just faintly hear the Vader voice when he was speaking to Luke with his helmet off, as the thing near his mouth looks like a microphone or something.
So apparently this happened.

If anyone remembers, Disney made a new cartoon that's supposed to be a retelling of the original trilogy (since Turner holds the broadcasting rights to the OT and for some reason Disney still can't release the non-SE version of the OT). Well the newest short really goes out of its way to portray Luke and all the other guys as bumblers who actually needed Leia to save them and she was the true and only hero. And this is the official retelling since the show is marked as freaking "Canon" rather than Infinity, non-canon or Legends etc. Oh what a hoot.
And to further add to this news, Disney has announced that they will make no attempts to market or even publicly talk about their new Star Wars land theme park, claiming that its going to be so big that it can't possibly fail. Which would explain the recent decline in new info and official spoilers.

This all sounds so off. Why wouldn't you want to advertise this? Everyone I know isn't even aware that this park exists and most of them loved TLJ.
The Sequels might as well already be that, maybe in a few decades when Star Wars is fading in cultural relevance they'll do a straight up remake if they decide to not to make the sequel-sequel trilogy featuring the Second Order bumrushing the New nu-Republic and the search for the great Jedi Master Rey.
Same. As terrible as this is, I kind of get excited about the idea of how much salt would flow if they should remake the original trilogy or make their own even crazier special edition. OT purists and fans of all kinds would lose their proverbial shit, and that kind of hilarious spergotry would probably cancel out any negative feelings we would have in this thread.
It's even bled into meme subreddits. I saw someone get called "unironic r/moviecirclejerk" on r/raimimemes of all places for not kiss assing a movie that hadn't come out yet, as if what movie circle jerk does ironically isn't already autistic and doing it unironically is at least being honest with yourself instead of trying to delude what you're saying into "biting satire" when you're really just shitposting by CoPyInG wHaT oThEr PeOpLe SaY aNd TyPiNg LiKe ThIsAw jeez, that subreddit. That place has more or less dedicated itself to shielding The Last Jedi from all criticism.
Fun fact, they usually defend TLJ by shitting on the PT. Yep, dismissing a "circlejerk" by engaging in a different one.
With c) I think there needs to be a word for when a fanboy is turned around and begins to hold that grudge against their former favorite property.

It's the literal definition of "kicking someone while they're down."![]()
So... let me get this straight.
Han Solo divorces Leia, who then proceeds to screw around with Holdo, meanwhile Han goes farting about in the universe, picks up some alien cocksucker who looks like his head is a potato that started to sprout roots, said alien is trusted with guarding the ship, instead steals it to brag about to random chucklefucks, it somehow gets lost or stolen again or whatever, it ends up on Jakku, presumably stays there for many years, is then eventually found by Rey who starts it and within minutes of doing so, Han finds it thanks to a tracker (that he inexplicably never used before)... and then two smuggler gangs pop up that Han failed to deliver his goods to . . . . and he gets bested at flying the Falcon by someone who's never sat inside a spaceship-cockpit before, just so he can get killed by his own son.
With all the shit they did to Han, somehow having the Falcon being stolen in such an insultingly vapid way is just...

Since Ford isn't involved in Star Wars nearly as much as Hamil is, they can kick the shit out of Han with a lot less protest than they can Luke. I'm surprised they didn't make Obi Wan look like shit, since Sir Alec Guinness isn't alive anymore. So yeah, as the original cast starts to drop off, their characters will be twisted and destroyed as much as possible (as long as they're male). It's the literal definition of "kicking someone while they're down."
Just when you thought "Greedo shooting first" was the worst thing that could have been done to Han![]()
The only retconning that would take place if Lucasfilm were no longer under ownership of Disney. Though as awesome as it sounds, it’s sadly won’t become a reality.I can only hope and pray that Episode IX recons itself and the entire sequel trilogy out of continuity the sane way Sonic '06 did.
If there's a positive to Disney owning Star Wars, it's that there's 35 years of available stuff you can get without Disney ever seeing a red cent. You want Star Wars novels? There's sure to be one you haven't read, super cheap, at a used bookstore, and not written by a woke Tumblrite. You want games? Easy to get a hold of, and almost all of them better then EA will make in their contracted years. Hell, there's even versions of the movies that are better than Disney's releases and available far cheaper. The only retconning that would take place if Lucasfilm were no longer under ownership of Disney.
