He needs to have a better sense of humor about this kind of shit. Run with some stupid meme comment and make it part of his shtick. "Oh yeah, all that fast food! Every 50 bit cheer goes to my buttery jack fund! Help today!" His cult would cheer, trolls would cheer. Nearly win-win for him.

To be fair, he actually did that a couple of times too. But with Phil, you know he does that to safe face, instead of him genuinely being able to laugh at himself - he simply can't. He's such a paranoid shut-in, his ability to deflect those kind of things has almost completely disappeared.
If he just would have said something like: "Hah, well, I indeed have done a lot of DSP Tries It episodes, so I can understand people getting the idea I eat fast food a lot, but that's not the case. Still funny though!".

Done. And no one would have cared. Now he's regurgitating the very thing he doesn't like, and making it a big thing when it really should not have been.

He’s trying to really highlight the ABUSE and HARASSMENT he has endured, and this is just the first bit that’s come up since the sob story on Thanksbegging. In everyone else’s eyes, they can see how stupid of a statement that is. But to Phil this is genuine harassment. Even though he’s 100% in control of it all. Why do they(the fans) keep trying to make suggestions when we all know he will just outright ignore them.

If there's any real congenital voodoo contained within I Beg to Defer: The Phil Burnell Story, then it's in his inability to take any form of criticism, contention or advice. I've said it before to people and will say it again - it goes far beyond the fans. The mistakes he makes are so frequent and lurid and inviting to laugh at.. but what really pitches it wholesale is the continued level of denial he lives in. If he works diligently at anything in his real adult life then it's at shambling around responsibility for anything that ever goes wrong.

This kind of friction is so good at working on human nature. If you bought into watchng DSP unironically as an honest fan and had reasonable control of all your mental faculties, history would come to dictate that you either got tired of his shit and moved on or transformed into a Detracticon. Fans and detractors alike have a weird desire to fix the quite obviously broken DSP: Phil Burnell's approximation of what being an adult human being is all about - living in a big house with a woman who plays videogames (can you imagine the conversations they would have struck up online if she didn't play vidya?) thus making her your one true love. Owning a brand new car even if you never drive the fucker and filling Fortress Begsimus with other fancy amenities you rarely use but surely need so you can stick it to the haters. All of this is pretty normal.. the last veering further into narcissim sure but these "life goals" are not uncommon.

It's when you factor in he clearly can't afford to maintain it anymore - that his mind is legitimately still suspended in the year 2000 and 14. I mean he knows he's fucked.. but he also doesn't. He can't know it not really because tha would mean coming back to reality instead of just the reality where 9+ grand a month should simply go on forever. He has no retirement plan (I hafta wonder about this but that's for another time) U GUISE are the retirement plan.. so pay up, dummy!

Trying to convince a fucking madman like this to change can be its own form of entertainment. You'd think one day something will pierce the dusty veil over his face that makes it hard to see what he's doing in the toughest game of all: life. That enough social bludgeoning would somehow finally let the penny drop and have an inner voice come out the depths and let him simply query " *snort* could a bunch of this shit actually be my fault? Eh-eh-ehmm, scuze me! I'm ghanna be totally honest with you here. Maybe!"

Of course some people really do just want to see him burn too but I think if you invest enough time in pointing out the nonsense then plenty get a weird desire to see some kind of pahsitive resolution. Detractors afterall are clearly not simply The Hate Army spook story he loves to scare the kiddies with.. that would mean life was all black and white, dood!

He has been raging extremely hard at Spyro 3 for the past 10-15 minutes, and he's still going. Shouting obscenities at his TV because he can't master a section of a game with children as its target audience. This is amazing.

Yeah, I think if someone made a TIHYDP out of the Spyro Reignited bundle, I think we can finally have a good TIHYDP episode again.

His entire chat and his mods begged him to raise the price of cheers to improve his stream. Naturally Phil didn't think of this himself or want to do it, his fans told him to. He only raised the price to make his community happy and safe.

He'll do what he did in April this year when he was fundraising for his taxes. Just put up a generic "tip goal" and push for people to pledge to Patreon as well. As long as he doesn't explicitly say "fundraising", Twitch doesn't care. We know this because that was what he changed in his schedule image.

I thought he got in trouble for comparing bits to currency. Didn't he really push bits for a while and Twitch got in a bit of hissy? Don't think it was the begging. Plenty of people have donation/sub goals.

Phil has 'tried' to be self deprecating at rare times eg Fapgate (once keemstar picked it up and he had no choice and couldn't keep up with banning all the people that were flooding in mocking him about it) but it always comes across as clumsy and artificial. At his core Phil takes himself very seriously.

A little late i know but, ever since made his "tax problems" public he have always avoided saying the ammount that he is needing to pay, so why does he now suddenly announced that he needs $16K?

I honestly think this need for a resolution is what leads to a lot of "DSP Burnout": A new account shows up here or TKOHF with long, informative posts detailing how Phil could resolve these seemingly insurmountable struggles if only he took their advice. Countless times help like this has been sent to Phil over the past decade, and somehow he continues to defy reason and make it worse for himself. Unless they happen to be Nich, these Good Samaritans grow exhausted and eventually disappear.

This guy, this fucking guy.

The reignited trilogy is literally frame by frame exactly the same as the originals, the other changes are audio and visual. Spyro moves exactly the same, the controls are exactly the same. The gits created a special program called the Spyrograph to rip the code directly from the original games for that sole purpose of getting the control as close to the originals as humanly possible.

Theo made a good point about his next "fundraiser" (stream with tip goal) which is the "indies begathon" which will inevitably be as awful as his Halloween horror begathon. This greedy fuck has managed to quadruple dip this thing.
Dip #1. Sub goal to make it happen = money from subs.
Dip #2. Paymetons votes on the games = money from patrons.
Dip #3. Will be uploaded to YouTube = ad revenue.
Dip #4. Will be a fundraiser ("pay my taxes" tip goal) = sweet sweet tips, he gets those right away.
There are 5 games so each one will get around an hour or so and 2 of the games are Stardew Valley and Minecraft... enough said. I'm sure this will be a huge success on all levels.

Unrelated: he took an "emergency bathroom break" during his Spyro stream today where he just got up and left the camera and game running so the viewers were staring at the same scene for like 7 minutes. This is what I saw, well put Moneybags...
