I been out of the DSP loop for a while now and decided to try to watch one of his streams
15 seconds of silence
"Well this shield is fucking worthless" *dead air* Manages to kill some guy.
Around half a minute of dead silence. Gets killed by guy firing in through door.
"What he's not visible what so ever and he's shooting me, this game sucks"
Dead air
Is killed again, looks straight at camera and slowly shakes head in disbelief then looks at chat, looks back at screen in time to see himself get killed. This launches him into at least a minute and a half rant about how the enemies are invisible (lol was looking at chat) and how he just spawned and the game sucks and lots of incomprehensible pig noises before I turned off the stream. Now thats what I call a high quality stream.

He has not changed since I last followed him at all half a year ago. And now I remember why I would only watch the super cuts of his prestreams on YouTube instead of his actual streams. Also I noticed he is apparently begging for money still. I guess some stuff really never does change.
 
RE: Phil's holy, immutable, true and ahnest adult gaming schedule.

Need I remind you guys that Phil has admitted multiple times over the years that he holds the genuine belief that if he stops vomiting content onto the interweb for any period of time beyond 24 hours, that people will actually begin to forget that he exists and move on to greener vidyagame personality pastures. This is a good insight into his mentality beyond any extra accrued issues he's developed over the 10 year begacy like social anxiety, schedule pedantry and just generally being an unfeeling dickbag.

If he's going to take time off for any reason these days the gains have to be immediate, obvious and related to spending money on things he wants - not things that might actually be good for his mental wellbeing. You know like a Staycation - time off is actually a good thing but he squanders it with deceitful misdirecton,; his internet was just accidentally unplugged all weekend guys ahnest!

Flying out to see his parents to Phil holds no real benefit. That's hours of travel surrounded by other people.. there might even be a detractor along the way calling out "hey DSP!" in the distance. That's like staying in a lowly 3 star bed and breakfast without 24 hour room service and direct access to the WWE Network and he'd even have to mop up the spilled gin. Worst of all he'd actually have to hold actual conversations with his parents and Kat. Talking to someone instead of just at them? Holy fuck what a living nightmare.

You could add 100 more reasons to the list he'll never do it and there's a fair chance you'll hit the mark. He'll sure as shit show up as the realest motherfucking OG beneficiary in CT to settle their estate though.. if he doesn't die before them due to a lazyman blood clot or something.

I find it hilarious he says his folks are old + have bad backs, but he had no qualms about bringing them in last year to paint the house, do chores, etc.

Also the third option is exactly the one you were suggesting and is the reasonable one. I find it interesting that, although as a last resort, he does see it as an option.

According to Dave from this time last year both his parents have bad backs that are apparently so bad neither of them can even sit in a vehicle to drive it, just like him, what a coincidence. Maybe he should tell his parents about the mystical Seattle air and the magical back exercises that 'strengthened the muscles around his spine', but left the rest of his body a withered husk without an ounce of muscle mass, and cured him of his back pain, seems like a pretty shitty thing for a son to withhold the cure to a problem both his parents are suffering from too tbh.

Also this 'refinancing my house' shit seems to be some delusional pipe-dream of a financial cure he's been latched onto for a while. I would love some input from someone more familiar with Cash-Out Refinancing of home loans especially to consolidate credit card debt, but from my first looking at it:
  • if he doesn't have more than 20% of his home-loan paid off, or the amount of money he pulls out of it dips him below 20% he would have to pay an insurance policy on his home-loan amounting to like 1% of the total amount of the loan per year;
  • If he was on a 20-year mortgage wouldn't he have only a 20% equity in his home at this point? If he was on a 10-year mortgage would he have like closer to 40% equity in his home after 4 years?;
  • There are also other fees associated with refinancing such as closing costs, that can amount to thousands of dollars, that Phil would have to pay right then;
  • Apparently you frequently can end up paying a larger total amount of interest on the debt by rolling it into a home-loan because you will make more total monthly payments on that debt that the refinancing locks you into, for example on a 10-year mortgage you will now pay 4% interest on that debt for 120 months, as opposed to paying say 13% interest per month over a shorter timespan;
  • It could make his monthly payments lower, but he will have to solvently juggle his falling house of cards for longer, and defaulting on credit card debt won't fuck him over as bad as going tits-up on his home-loan, he is actually more likely to lose his house due to the refinancing than if he were to just stop being a fagot with money and actually start paying off his credit card debt incrementally in a timely fucking fashion!
OK, I'm actually starting to get worked up now about what an infantile mong Phil is while claiming to be the most serious adult responsibilities motherfucker on the internet, and I'm sure this is long as fuck. What can I say? I'm a spurg. It's not my fault, I did nothing wrong, I did everything correct, the magical black man GodKing Emperor of the Troll Army and the Gang Gang Dance troupe made me make this post. . .gang gang gang

Yeah, this goes right back to my assertion that every interaction in Dave's life is a transaction. And there's no profit in it for him to go out to CT. So he doesn't.

I love how he came up with three scenarios: two of them positive (he manages to pay off debts/improve his credit), and one negative scenario, where YT/Switch doesn't work out because of... wait for it... "stuff outside my control". So, he already got it in the back of his head that the only negative scenario simply will not be his fault. :story:

And now I'm watching his last 20 or so minutes of CoD gameplay, and he's being an extremely salty pickle. Like, properly toxic. Badmouthing the game, cussing out the developers, mocking people who might like the game, saying it's only for kids, and constantly blaming everything around him except himself for his poor performance.

Yeah, Phil, if Twitch doesn't work out for you, at you least you can find inner peace because it could not have been your fault.

Sorry for cutting a lot of your post out for brevity, but you're mostly spot on. The only thing I'd note is that in the US, mortgages generally run either 15 or 30 years, and end up being VERY interest-heavy in the first decade or so. If you assume Phil made a decent down payment and took a ~220,000 mortgage out in 2014, my math says he probably still owes just over 200k after paying more than $85,000 over the last four years. This wouldn't be as bad if he only had a 15 year mortgage, but all the numbers he throws out (and what we know of Phil's financial planning) screams that he took the full 30 years. So at most he's got 5% more 'equity' than his original down payment.

Now the one plus is the fact that the house's value is up more than $140,000 since he bought it in 2014. That'd be a great profit for someone who knows they have another place to go. But it would cost money up front that he says he doesn't have, and more importantly it'd be a hit to his ego. So if he genuinely thinks the paycult's going to step up, why bother?
 
I don't know what you guys are on about, Phil is a totally real 100% positiv person. He would never talk bad about any one or make fun of them. His gaming skills are god like and it's not his fault that games are so buggy now a days. We should never questions him, because he is always 110% honest. Every thing on this website is all just detractor lies and totally taken out of context.

You should all apologize to Phil and give him all your disposable income to make up for all the slender that has been spread about him.
 
I feel bad for Phil's family when his parents die. Besides just having to deal with him irl again, I'm afraid some Alog will try and crash the funeral with pamphlets full of Phil's jacking it face. Honestly, no family deserves to have that happen to them just because of some MLG family member's shitty behavior.

He supposedly can't afford to visit them while they're alive, what makes you think he'd go to their funeral? "Oh well, dood, they're gone, nothing I could do. I'm just waiting to hear from the lawyers about the inheritance *snort*, I need that money to pay for mah vac- uh, taxes."

Nearest I can tell from reading between the lines and listening to Tevin's restream. The real story is the Youtube Juggernaut did another virtue signaling flail in their attempt to convince the media and talking heads that they were purging the system of all wrongthink and offense. As usual, tons of people got crushed and the MCNs including Curse who previously would have signed up every Tom, Dick, and Phil because they could profit of the pennies they were leeching from misclicks no matter how terrible they were suddenly had to offload a bunch of deadweight. Phil probably got a form letter or at most some boilerplate from an overworked intern/employee which he promptly reinvents into him as the center of the universe holding his own against dirty cheating Tevin in the Universe Wrestling Championship ring before crowds of adoring fans and the Curse Board of Directors. But the reality is this was an internetwide event he was only a microscopic part of. That is if he isn't outright lying and covering something even worse, like actually being fired for misconduct.
